ASSOCIATION REPRESENTATIVES AND MEMBERS. A. In no event shall there be any interference with the operations of the Beach Patrol. B. During negotiations, the Association representatives authorized by the Association, not to exceed three (3) days, shall be excused from their normal duties for such periods of negotiations as may be agreed upon by the parties. Such excused individuals, however, shall be available for duty in the event that the need arises.

Authorized VPCA representatives, whose names shall be filed in writing with the Director of Public Safety and the Chief of Police, shall be permitted by appointment, with the exception of emergencies, to visit Police Headquarters or the Office of the Director of Public Safety for the purposes of processing grievances. This right shall be exercised reasonably. The VPCA representative shall not interfere with the normal conduct of the work of the Police Department. §2. One VPCA Representative shall be granted leave with pay of up to three hours per month to conduct VPCA business or attend VPCA related seminars as approved by the Chief of Police, which approval shall not be unreasonably denied. Any hours not used in a month may accrue to the next month, provided, however, that no more than 16 hours shall accrue at any one time.

Authorized representatives of the PBA, whose names shall be filed in writing with the Director of Public Safety, shall be permitted to visit Police Headquarters or the Office of the Director of Public Safety for the purposes of processing grievances. This right shall be exercised reasonably. Upon entering the premises, the authorized representative shall notify the Shift Commander or, in his/her absence, an authorized representative. The PBA representative shall not interfere with the normal conduct of the work of the Police Department. §2. Pursuant to applicable law, the City shall grant a leave of absence with pay to up to five (5) PBA representatives, who shall consist of the President, State Delegate and three (3) §3. Members of the PBA, who, by mutual agreement between the City and PBA, participate during working hours in grievances and negotiations with the City, shall suffer thereby no loss of pay. Members of the PBA shall be allowed one-half (½) hour prior to and one-half (½) hour after the session is over as excused time from their work assignment. They shall give their supervisor reasonable notice in advance of their desire to attend such meetings. It is understood, however, that such participation shall be permitted unless the employee’s attendance would interfere with the work of the Police Department. §4. The City shall release up to three (3) officers of the PBA Executive Board to attend full PBA monthly meetings and also release the President or designee for one work shift up to ten (10) hours per month to conduct PBA business with no loss of pay. Hours shall not accumulate from month to month. The Chief of Police shall, upon thirty (30) calendar days notice, release up to two (2) officers of the PBA Executive Board to attend up to six (6) annual PBA events, provided such time off does not unreasonably create a staffing shortage. Such authorization shall not be unreasonably withheld. §5. The City shall provide to the PBA the names and addresses of potential new employees. The City further agrees to permit two (2) representatives of the PBA solely the right to meet with new employees for up to one (1) hour immediately following the swearing in of the employees.

  • Union Representatives Upon mutual agreement of the parties, the number may be altered from time to time. Where a Union Representative commences on an extended leave of absence, the Union will endeavour to find a temporary replacement for the Union Representative from within the Home.

  • Visits by Union Representatives 9 The County agrees that accredited representatives of the American Federation of 10 State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, whether local Union representatives, 11 Staff Representatives, or International representatives, upon reasonable and proper 12 introduction, shall have reasonable access to the premises of the County at any time 13 during working hours to conduct Union business. The Union agrees that such visits will 14 cause no disruptions or interruptions of work.

  • Union Representative Visits The Union shall inform the Employer in advance whenever the designated representatives of the Union intend to visit the Employer’s premises for the purpose of conducting Union business. Such visits shall not interfere with the normal operations of the worksite. Reasonable accommodation will be made to allow the Presidents of the Unions to have access to union members to conduct union business.

  • Parties’ Representatives Both Parties shall ensure that throughout the term of this Agreement, a duly appointed Representative is available for communications between the Parties. The Representatives shall have full authority to deal with all day-to-day matters arising under this Agreement. If a Party’s Representative becomes unavailable, the Party shall promptly appoint another Representative. Acts and omissions of Representatives shall be deemed to be acts and omissions of the Party. Owner and CAISO shall be entitled to assume that the Representative of the other Party is at all times acting within the limits of the authority given by the Representative’s Party. Owner’s Representatives and CAISO’s Representatives shall be identified on Schedule J.

  • INDEPENDENT PERSONAL SERVICES 1. Income derived by a resident of a Contracting State in respect of professional services or other activities of an independent character shall be taxable only in that State unless he has a fixed base regularly available to him in the other Contracting State for the purpose of performing his activities. If he has such a fixed base, the income may be taxed in the other State but only so much of it as is attributable to that fixed base. 2. The term “professional services” includes especially independent scientific, literary, artistic, educational or teaching activities as well as the independent activities of physicians, lawyers, engineers, architects, dentists and accountants.
