BILINGUAL SERVICES. PROVIDER agrees to maintain comprehensive policies to ensure compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as updated to address the needs of employees and clients with limited English proficiency. PROVIDER agrees that it will employ staff with bilingual or special foreign language translation skills appropriate to the needs of the client population, or will purchase the services of qualified adult interpreters who are available within a reasonable time to communicate with clients who have limited English proficiency. PROVIDER will provide, free of charge, all documents necessary to its clients’ meaningful participation in PROVIDER’s programs and services in alternative languages appropriate to the needs of the client population. PROVIDER agrees that it will train its staff on the content of these policies and will invite its applicants and clients to identify themselves as persons needing additional assistance or accommodations in order to apply or participate in PROVIDER’s programs and services.

BILINGUAL SERVICES. Unit members who have been designated by the district to provide professional services to the school community in a language other than English will receive a $100.00 stipend per month for such service. The number of such unit members at each work site will be set each year at the district’s discretion. The designation of selected members of the bargaining unit for such additional compensation should not discourage other employees who possess bilingual capabilities from assisting parents, students or staff members in routine communications. The bilingual services stipend is intended as compensation for bilingual services. Any work outside of the regular work hours shall be compensated pursuant to the other provisions of this contract.

BILINGUAL SERVICES. The District agrees to implement a one (1) year pilot for the 2017-2018 school year at a maximum of 10 locations (10 total employees for the pilot) that in addition to their regular duties are frequently called upon to speak, read and interpret a non-English language, or to converse fluently in a non-English language. Specifics related to qualifications, site locations, and employee expectations will be jointly developed between CSEA and the District no later than September 30, 2017 and effective October 1, 2017. Employees identified for this pilot will be paid a Bilingual Differential equal to the Second Shift Differential in Article 6.2.2.
BILINGUAL SERVICES. Translating and/or Interpreting services, verbal or written, shall be voluntary for all bargaining unit Employees. An Employee has the right to refuse to translate or interpret when requested, and there shall be no reprisal for such refusal. An Employee who provides such services on a voluntary basis shall be held harmless for any legal or other adverse action arising from an unintentional misrepresentation as a result of translating or interpreting activities.

  • Telemedicine Services This plan covers clinically appropriate telemedicine services when the service is provided via remote access through an on-line service or other interactive audio and video telecommunications system in accordance with R.I. General Law § 27-81-1. Clinically appropriate telemedicine services may be obtained from a network provider, and from our designated telemedicine service provider. When you seek telemedicine services from our designated telemedicine service provider, the amount you pay is listed in the Summary of Medical Benefits. When you receive a covered healthcare service from a network provider via remote access, the amount you pay depends on the covered healthcare service you receive, as indicated in the Summary of Medical Benefits.   • Legal Services If this Agreement is for legal services, this section is applicable. Contractor shall: (i) adhere to legal cost and billing guidelines designated by the JBE; (ii) adhere to litigation plans designated by the JBE, if applicable; (iii) adhere to case phasing of activities designated by the JBE, if applicable; (iv) submit and adhere to legal budgets as designated by the JBE; (v) maintain legal malpractice insurance in an amount not less than the amount designated by the JBE; and (vi) submit to legal bill audits and law firm audits if so requested by the JBE, whether conducted by employees or designees of the JBE or by any legal cost-control provider retained by the JBE for that purpose. Contractor may be required to submit to a legal cost and utilization review as determined by the JBE. If (a) the Contract Amount is greater than $50,000, (b) the legal services are not the legal representation of low- or middle-income persons, in either civil, criminal, or administrative matters, and (c) the legal services are to be performed within California, then Contractor agrees to make a good faith effort to provide a minimum number of hours of pro xxxx legal services, or an equivalent amount of financial contributions to qualified legal services projects and support centers, as defined in section 6213 of the Business and Professions Code, during each year of the Agreement equal to the lesser of either (A) thirty (30) multiplied by the number of full time attorneys in the firm’s offices in California, with the number of hours prorated on an actual day basis for any period of less than a full year or (B) the number of hours equal to ten percent (10%) of the Contract Amount divided by the average billing rate of the firm. Failure to make a good faith effort may be cause for nonrenewal of this Agreement or another judicial branch or other state contract for legal services, and may be taken into account when determining the award of future contracts with a Judicial Branch Entity for legal services.

  • Educational Services Any service or supply for education, training or retraining services or testing including: special education, remedial education; cognitive remediation; wilderness/outdoor treatment, therapy or adventure programs (whether or not the program is part of a Residential Treatment facility or otherwise licensed institution); job training or job hardening programs; educational services and schooling or any such related or similar program including therapeutic programs within a school setting.

  • General Services (1) Services to be provided on an ongoing basis to the extent applicable to a particular Fund:
