Bumps a) The employee initiating a shift preference bump shall assume the highest hours within spread on the overtime sheet on his new shift. The employee being bumped shall assume the hours of the highest employee within spread. b) When a new shift is added to an existing department, the new employees shall assume the lower hours in spread taken from the existing shifts within their respective classifications.

Bumps. An employee to be placed on indefinite layoff may exercise seniority rights to bump either (1) an employee in an occupational classification that is lower rated than that from which the employee is being laid off, or (2) an employee in an occupational classification that is equally rated to that from which the employee is being laid off, provided the employee holds current certification(s) in the occupational classification or has occupied such occupational classification prior to the bumping process. He may only bump an employee of lesser seniority and will be required to bump the least senior employee of that occupational classification. To bump, an employee must be capable and able to initially perform the work without loss of efficiency. An employee who fails or declines to exercise bumping right at the time of layoff will then remain on layoff until his seniority entitles him to recall.

Seniority will be determined by the employee's original date of hire. c) The determination of an employee's qualification to perform a job entered on their "Recall and Bump Form" will be made following the exit interview. If they are disqualified, the reasons for such disqualification will be reduced to writing and given to the employees and the Area Xxxxxxx. d) In exercising bumping rights, an employee must first exhaust all possibilities in the classification from which laid off or bumped, except that they will not be required to change shifts. e) When exercising bumping rights, an employee will not be trained to do the job; however when an employee bumps into a classification of their choice as provided in Paragraph 91 c. above, the Area Xxxxxxx and a member of Management will mutually agree on a specified period of time, during which the employee will be given, with suitable orientation, an opportunity to demonstrate that they can satisfactorily perform the job. If it is then found that they cannot satisfactorily perform the job, they will be laid off and allowed to exercise their seniority rights. f) An employee who declines to bump at the time of layoff will so state on his Recall and Bump form. Such trunks shall connect the End Office CSTC utilizes to provide Telephone Exchange Service and Switched Exchange Access to its Customers in a given LATA to the access Tandem(s) Verizon utilizes to provide Exchange Access in such LATA. 9.2.4 Access Toll Connecting Trunks shall be used solely for the transmission and routing of Exchange Access to allow CSTC’s Customers to connect to or be connected to the interexchange trunks of any Interexchange Carrier which is connected to a Verizon access Tandem.

  • Fences Except for establishment cost incurred by the United States and replacement cost not due to the Landowner’s negligence or malfeasance, all other costs involved in maintenance of fences and similar facilities to exclude livestock are the responsibility of the Landowner. The installation or use of fences which have the effect of preventing wildlife access and use of the Easement Area are prohibited on the Easement Area, easement boundary, or on the Landowner’s land that is immediately adjacent to, and functionally related to, the Easement Area.
