Calculation of Annual Leave. Calculation of Annual Leave. 21.1 The parties are jointly committed to addressing the inequities and inconsistencies that can occur in relation to how annual leave is calculated and applied. Full time employees must have at least 1,640 hours of paid time as of April 30th each year to qualify for the full amount of annual leave. Full-time employees with less than 1,640 hours of paid time as of April 30th each year will earn annual leave pro-rated based on the average number of hours worked per week in the preceding year. For the purposes of this section, hours spent on Family Medical Leave and Worker’s Compensation shall qualify as “timed worked”.
