Holiday Shifts. Where the major portion of a shift falls partly on a public holiday, the shift shall be regarded as a public holiday shift.

Holiday Shifts. For 12-hour shift purposes, holiday shifts begin at 7:00 a.m. on the day of the holiday and end at 6:59 a.m. on the following day.
Holiday Shifts. The parties have agreed that when a holiday falls later in the work week (e.g., Good Friday), drivers shall indicate whether they want to forego a shift earlier in the week in the hope of being scheduled for the holiday. Drivers who elect to forego a shift earlier in the week are not guaranteed the holiday shift later in the week.
Holiday Shifts. Employees required to work on the holiday will be scheduled for their regular shift or the length a unit is open when it is less than a regular shift. Where the shop is open more than eight(8)hours, shifts of not less than four (4)hours may be scheduled to supplement the eight(8)hour shifts as required by business. Where business reduction requires the closing of a unit prior to the end of the employee’s regular shift, the employee shall be offered the option of movement to another location or the opportunity to volunteer to leave their shift early.

  • Day Shift The standard work day will consist of eight (8) hours worked between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. with a designated thirty (30) minute lunch period. Starting and stopping times to be determined by mutual agreement between the Company and the shop employees.

  • Holiday Overtime An employee required to work on any of the above-named holidays will be paid holiday pay plus payment for the number of hours worked at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) his regular straight time rate of pay.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Holiday 6.1 The Executive shall be entitled during the Employment to 30 working days holiday in each calendar year plus bank holidays. Holiday may only be taken at such time or times as the Chief Executive Officer shall approve. The Executive’s holiday entitlement shall be pro rated for the year in which the Employment begins and for the year in which the Employment ends.

  • Unworked Holidays Employees shall receive eight (8) hours pay for unworked holidays (reference Appendix A), at their base rate in effect at the time the holiday occurs, plus applicable shift differential, if, on the holiday, they are either on the active payroll or not on leave of absence for longer than ninety calendar days. Employees not on leave of absence who take leave without pay (LWOP) at the time the holiday occurs shall be eligible for holiday pay.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Holiday Work Employees who work on a holiday shall receive one and one-half (1-1/2) times their straight time regular rate of pay for all hours actually worked on the holiday, plus holiday pay.
