Career and College. Promise (CCP): North Carolina legislation allowing qualified high school students the opportunity to enroll in community college courses, tuition free, while in high school. There are three components to the CCP program: College Transfer Pathways, Career Technical Education Pathways, and Cooperative Innovative High Schools (i.e. Middle and/or Early College).
Career and College. Promise Program (CCP) The CCP program consists of three components: Cooperative Innovative High School known as the Alamance-Burlington Early College at ACC; the College Transfer Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Fine Arts (AFA), Associate Degree Nursing (ADN), Associate in Science (AS), and Associate in Engineering (AE) pathways; and the Career Technical Pathways. Cooperative Innovative High Schools - Students earn tuition-waived college credits while in high school by attending an approved Cooperative Innovative High School. For ABSS, the approved Cooperative Innovative High School includes the ABSS Early College at ACC. This high school focuses on accelerated opportunities for beginning ninth grade students wishing to complete their high school diploma and an Associate in Arts, Associate in Fine Arts, Associate Degree Nursing, Associate in Science, Associate in Engineering or an Associate in Applied Science degree while completing high school requirements. College Transfer Pathway - Students are afforded approximately 30 hours of tuition-waived community college course credit hours that will transfer seamlessly to any North Carolina public or participating private college or university, saving students time and money in pursuing four- year degrees. Career Technical Education Pathway - Students take tuition-waived course credits at a North Carolina community college toward a certificate, diploma, or degree in a career technical discipline.

Students wishing to attend this nontraditional high school must complete an application for admission.  Alamance-Burlington Early College at ACC: This high school focuses on accelerated opportunities for beginning ninth grade students wishing to complete their high school diploma and an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Engineering or an Associate in Applied Science degree while completing high school requirements. a. Responsibilities of ACC: 1. Deliver college-level classes either on-site at selected ABSS high schools or on the campus of ACC (Courses taught on the ACC’s campus will follow the college calendar; CCP cohort classes taught on ACC’s campus and courses taught on the high school campus will follow the high school calendar.) 2. Distribute midterm grades for CCP students to counselors at all high schools 3. Students with disabilities seeking accommodations for academic courses or placement testing will be required to meet ACC’s qualification standards and provide appropriate documentation of the disability/medical condition to the Coordinator of Special Needs & Counseling Services.   • Educational Benefits The Employer agrees to provide educational benefits to employees that are in permanent status as of the first day of the quarter they are registering in accordance with the Employer’s space-available tuition waiver policy and employee 50% operating fee tuition waiver policy, to include:

  • Public Benefit It is Reaction Retail’s understanding that the commitments it has agreed to herein, and actions to be taken by Reaction Retail under this Settlement Agreement, would confer a significant benefit to the general public, as set forth in Code of Civil Procedure § 1021.5 and Cal. Admin. Code tit. 11, § 3201. As such, it is the intent of Reaction Retail that to the extent any other private party initiates an action alleging a violation of Proposition 65 with respect to Reaction Retail’s failure to provide a warning concerning exposure to DEHP prior to use of the Products it has manufactured, distributed, sold, or offered for sale in California, or will manufacture, distribute, sell, or offer for sale in California, such private party action would not confer a significant benefit on the general public as to those Products addressed in this Settlement Agreement, provided that Reaction Retail is in material compliance with this Settlement Agreement.

  • Health Care Spending Account After six (6) months of permanent employment, full time and part time (20/40 or greater) employees may elect to participate in a Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) Program designed to qualify for tax savings under Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code, but such savings are not guaranteed. The HCSA Program allows employees to set aside a predetermined amount of money from their pay, not to exceed the maximum amount authorized by federal law, per calendar year, of before tax dollars, for health care expenses not reimbursed by any other health benefit plans. HCSA dollars may be expended on any eligible medical expenses allowed by Internal Revenue Code Section 125. Any unused balance is forfeited and cannot be recovered by the employee.

  • Educational Incentive For those employees receiving educational incentive payment at the time of layoff, upon re-employment, such employees shall be eligible to receive educational incentive.

  • Multi-Year Planning The CAPS will be in a form acceptable to the LHIN and may be required to incorporate (1) prudent multi-year financial forecasts; (2) plans for the achievement of performance targets; and (3) realistic risk management strategies. It will be aligned with the LHIN’s then current Integrated Health Service Plan and will reflect local LHIN priorities and initiatives. If the LHIN has provided multi-year planning targets for the HSP, the CAPS will reflect the planning targets.

  • Education Incentive A. The following monthly education incentive pay will be paid to each employee upon completing the listed degree and providing proof of completion to the Agency. Associate Degree Two percent (2%) Bachelor Degree Four percent (4%) B. The above percentages will be based upon the employee’s base rate of pay. C. An employee will be entitled to one (1) education incentive pay only. D. Degrees must be from an accredited institution of higher education.

  • EMPLOYER AND UNION SHALL ACQUAINT NEW EMPLOYEES The Employer agrees to acquaint new employees with the fact that a Collective Agreement is in effect and with the conditions of employment set out in the Articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Check-off. The Employer agrees to provide the name, worksite phone number, and location of the new employee's xxxxxxx in the letter of hiring. Whenever the xxxxxxx is employed in the same work area as the new employee, the employee's immediate supervisor will introduce her to her xxxxxxx. The Employer agrees that a Union xxxxxxx will be given an opportunity to interview each new employee within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for thirty (30) minutes sometime during the first thirty (30) days of employment for the purpose of acquainting the new employee with the benefits and duties of Union membership and the employee's responsibilities and obligations to the Employer and the Union.

  • Public Benefits ‌ 5.1 Developer to provide Public Benefits‌ The Developer must, at its cost and risk, provide the Public Benefits to the City in accordance with this document.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • WASHINGTON’S STATEWIDE PAYEE DESK Contractor represents and warrants that Contractor is registered with Washington’s Statewide Payee Desk, which registration is a condition to payment.
