Carry Over of Vacation. The vacation entitlement contained herein will be taken by all the employees annually, subject, however, to the provision that the employees may make application to the Employer for carry over of the entitlement to the following year. Carry over of up to five (5) days may be approved, if such carry over fits into the vacation schedule without affecting the vacation of another employee. Consideration will be given for carry over in excess of five (5) days.
Carry Over of Vacation. The vacation entitlement contained herein will be taken by all the Employees annually, subject, however, to the provision that the Employees may make application to the Employer(s) for carry over of the entitlement to the following year.
Carry Over of Vacation. The Employer, at the request of an employee, may authorize the carry-over of annual vacation to an extent considered feasible. Except in extenuating circumstances, the Employer will notify the employee of the results within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving the request.
Carry Over of Vacation. Employees may carry over vacation, based on College seniority, according to the following schedule:
A. During first (1st) through the end of the fifth (5th) year. Employee may not carry more than eighty (80) hours, 10 days into the new fiscal year beginning July 1.
B. During sixth (6th) and beyond. Employees may not carry more than two hundred and forty (240) hours, 30 days, into the new fiscal year beginning July 1.
C. Any vacation time remaining on June 30th of each year in excess of the above maximum allowable accumulation will be lost, except as follows:
1. If previously scheduled and approved vacation is canceled at the request of the administration due to an emergency and cannot be rescheduled at a later date, this time may be carried into the next fiscal year.
2. If an employee becomes seriously ill and is unable to use the vacation time as previously scheduled and approved and is unable to reschedule the vacation at a later date, this time may be carried into the next fiscal year.
Carry Over of Vacation. Employees shall not be permitted to carry vacation entitlement beyond the calendar year except in cases of extenuating circumstances as determined by the Department Head or designate. In such cases, employees are required to request such vacation carry-over prior to December 1st of any calendar year. Such vacations approved for carry-over must be taken by March 31st of the following year. (1989)(2001)(2004)
Carry Over of Vacation. Employees’ vacation entitlement will normally be taken by the end of the fiscal year. Employees may request to carry over no more than five (5) days vacation entitlement, which must be used by the end of the next fiscal year. The Employer will approve the request based upon operational requirements. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. If employees decide to carry-over their vacation, the request form must be submitted to their Director, no later than January 31st.
Carry Over of Vacation. 4.12.6.1 Vacation is a benefit, which, if it is to have value, is to be used.
Carry Over of Vacation. The vacation entitlement contained herein will be taken by all the Employees annually, subject, however to the provision that the Employees may make application in writing to the Employer prior to the end of the vacation year in which time is not taken for carry over of the entitlement to the following year. Carry over of up to five (5) days shall be approved. Consideration will be given for carry over in excess of five (5) days and in compliance with The Saskatchewan Employment Act. The Employer shall respond in writing within fifteen (15) days of such a request. Any payout which may result shall be at the Employee’s current rate of pay.
Carry Over of Vacation. Full-time and permanent part-time Employees may carry forward five (5) days of accrued vacation into the following year, subject to operational requirements. Carry-over requests must indicate usage of the carried-over amount within the first quarter of the subsequent vacation year.
Carry Over of Vacation. Officers may carry over earned but unused vacation from one year to the next, however, the maximum any Officer may accrue is one and one-half times (1.5x) her/his annual accrual. When an Officer’s accrual meets the maximum accrual rate, s/he will cease accruing vacation time until the Officer’s accrual rate falls below the accrual maximum.
