CERTIFICATION DIFFERENTIALS. Effective March 23, 2013, certain Unit members in regular positions shall be paid a maximum of fifty dollars ($50.00) per pay period for achieving and maintaining certain higher levels of certification. Effective March 22, 2014, the differential amounts shall increase by an additional twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per pay period, with the maximum amount being a total of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) per pay period. Employees with more than one certification shall only receive one differential, up to the maximum in effect at that time. Employees receiving an assignment differential under sub-sections (a), (b) and (c) above are not eligible for a differential under this sub-section. The list of certifications eligible for the differential shall be: 1) approved by the Fire Marshal or designee; 2) directly related to the employee’s current classification; and 3) issued by CalEMA, FEMA, IAEM, or Cal State Fire Marshal, San Bernardino County Fire or other pertinent state or federal agency. The list of eligible certifications for this differential is contained in Appendix D of this MOU.

CERTIFICATION DIFFERENTIALS. An additional differential of three percent (3%) shall be paid to a maximum of four (4) Maintenance Workers who obtain and maintain Qualified Pesticide Applicator certification and an additional 5% shall be paid for Certified Arborists. All of the direct costs associated with maintaining certification of the Qualified Pesticide Applicator and Arborist shall be paid by the City. A differential of four percent (4%) shall be paid to Maintenance Workers who obtain and maintain CWEA certification, and an additional five percent (5%) shall be paid for obtaining and maintaining PACP certification. In the event an employee is required to have a Class B or higher vehicle operator’s license, the City shall provide the employee with the training to obtain such license and shall compensate holders of a valid California Class B (or higher) Driver’s License with an additional 3% pay differential and shall pay all of the direct costs associated with maintaining such license.
CERTIFICATION DIFFERENTIALS. An additional differential of five percent (5%) shall be paid to a maximum of four (4) Maintenance Workers who obtain and maintain the International Society of Arborist (“ISA”) Certified Arborist Credential. All of the direct costs associated with maintaining certification of the ISA Certified Arborist Credential shall be paid by the City. A differential of four percent (4%) shall be paid to Maintenance Workers who obtain and maintain CWEA certification, and an additional five percent (5%) shall be paid for obtaining and maintaining PACP certification. A differential of $200 per month shall be paid to a maximum of four (4) Maintenance Workers assigned to the Streets Division for obtaining and maintaining the NASSCO Manhole Assessment Certification. A differential of $200 per month shall be paid to a maximum of two (2) Maintenance Workers assigned to the Parks Division for obtaining and maintaining both the Exterior Technician Certification and Lawn Care Technician Certification from the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP). In the event an employee is required to have a Class B or higher vehicle operator’s license, the City shall provide the employee with the training to obtain such license and shall compensate holders of a valid California Class B (or higher) Driver’s License with an additional 3% pay differential and shall pay all of the direct costs associated with maintaining such license. For bookkeeping purposes, the payment of any additional sum as a certification incentive / differential provided in this Section 7.11 shall commence on the first of the month following submission of written proof to the City Administrator that the employee has obtained the appropriate certification(s).

Effective July 22, 2017, the differential amounts shall increase by twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per pay period, with the maximum amount being a total of one-hundred dollars ($100.00) per pay period. Employees with more than one certification shall only receive one differential, up to the maximum in effect at that time. Employees receiving an assignment differential under sub-sections (a), (b) and (c) above are not eligible for a differential under this sub-section. The list of certifications eligible for the differential shall be: 1) approved by the Fire Marshal or designee; 2) directly related to the employee’s current classification; and 3) issued by CalOES, FEMA, IAEM, or Cal State Fire Marshal, San Bernardino County Fire or other pertinent state or federal agency. The list of eligible certifications for this differential is contained in Appendix D of this MOU. Effective July 4, 2020, County Fire shall add the $100/pp Certification Pay into base pay for those classifications eligible for the Certification Differential and then sunset the Certification Differential.
CERTIFICATION DIFFERENTIALS. Nurses who have obtained one or more national certifications applicable to nursing care at the Saint Xxxxxxxxx Medical Center – Ontario, recognized by the Hospital as listed in Hospital policy who remain eligible as described below will be paid a differential of $1.00 per hour in recognition of their additional training. RNs who complete following ratification a nationally recognized certification identified in hospital policy may submit for approval a request to be reimbursed by the Hospital for course and testing costs incurred to achieve the certification up to an annual maximum of $400 per RN. In addition, RNs who have achieved a nationally recognized certification will be reimbursed by the Hospital for course and testing costs up to a maximum of $400 in any year following ratification in which the nurse renews the nationally recognized certification. Such requests will be approved by the Hospital if the course and test would qualify the RN for the national certification differential as described herein. A bargaining unit nurse will maintain eligibility for the certification differential if the nurse places on file with the hospital a copy of the currently recognized and unexpired certification described herein. In order to be recognized for the certification differential, the certification must apply to an area of the hospital where the nurse works a significant number of hours. A nurse will be understood to have worked a significant number of hours in an area if at least one-half of the nurse’s scheduled hours for the prior four (4) scheduling periods are for assignments in that area. A nurse who fails to work a qualifying number of hours but nonetheless considers the nurse’s time available to the certified area to be significant to the RN’s assignments at the Hospital (floating or otherwise) may petition for an award of eligibility, to be determined in the Hospital’s discretion. As nursing practices and available training evolve, on the recommendation of the PNCC, the Hospital may revise the list of certifications recognized for the certification differential.   • Certification Differential Nurses who obtain and maintain a nationally 17 recognized certification that is applicable to the services they provide for the 18 Employer shall receive $1.00 per hour. No additional differential is allotted for 19 more than one (1) certification. Proof of certification must be provided to the 20 Employer upon request. The approved certification list established by mutual 21 consent between the Association and the Director of Human Resources is as 22 follows:

  • Shift Differentials A shift differential of thirty-five cents ($.35) per hour shall be paid for shifts starting between 2:00 p.m. and 9:59 p.m. for employees regularly assigned to such shifts. A shift differential of forty-five cents ($.45) per hour shall be paid for shifts starting between 10:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. for employees regularly assigned to such shifts. The differential provided herein shall be part of base pay for overtime pay and other purposes. Employees at the Maine State Prison who are regularly assigned to the 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. shift are to be paid a shift differential of forty-five cents ($.45) per hour. Employees of mental health and correctional facilities shall be eligible for the second shift differential when their shift begins between 12:00 noon and 4:59 p.m.

  • Bilingual Differential When formally assigned in the employee’s position description, an employee assigned to interpret to or from another language to English will receive a differential of five percent (5%) of base pay.

  • Shift Differential The shift differential for employees working on assigned shifts which begin before 6:00 A.M. or which end at or after 7:00 P.M. shall be sixty-five cents ($0.65) per hour for all hours worked on that shift. Such shift differential shall be in addition to the employee's regular rate of pay and shall be included in all payroll calculations, but shall not apply during periods of paid leave. Employees working the regular day schedule who are required to work overtime or who are called back to work for special projects shall not be eligible for the shift differential.

  • Differentials No evening or night differentials will be applicable for a person on flexible scheduling concepts unless some or all of the hours he/she works would have fallen within the differential period of 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. had the person not been on a flexible scheduling concept.

  • Weekend Differential Employees assigned to State institutions other than Maine State Prison shall be eligible for a weekend differential of fifty cents ($.50) per hour to the base for shifts beginning between 10:00 p.m. Friday and 9:59 p.m.

  • Preceptor Differential The Hospital shall pay a differential of $1.50 per hour to a nurse who is designated by nursing management to serve as a preceptor to provide on-the-job training to newly hired nurses. One differential will be paid per shift per orientee to the primary preceptor for all hours served as the primary preceptor for that shift. Preceptor will only be paid while the newly hired nurse is in a one-to-one status. Preceptor is a voluntary assignment and the nurse has the option to refuse the preceptor assignment.

  • RECYCLING CERTIFICATION The Contractor shall certify in writing under penalty of perjury, the minimum, if not exact, percentage of post consumer material as defined in the Public Contract Code Section 12200, in products, materials, goods, or supplies offered or sold to the State regardless of whether the product meets the requirements of Public Contract Code Section 12209. With respect to printer or duplication cartridges that comply with the requirements of Section 12156(e), the certification required by this subdivision shall specify that the cartridges so comply (Pub. Contract Code §12205).
