WAGES AND CLASSIFICATION. 7.01 The wages and classifications shall be as per Appendix "A" attached hereto, and forms a part of this Agreement. It is agreed that no employee shall suffer a reduction in wages through the introduction of this wage schedule.

WAGES AND CLASSIFICATION. 28.01 During the term of this Agreement the Company shall pay the rates of pay as set out in the attached Appendix "A", which forms part of this Agreement.
28.02 Rates of pay for any new classification that may be established by the Company, and which comes within the scope of this Agreement, shall be the subject of negotiations, and the Company shall have the right to temporarily establish an hourly rate to be paid until the regular rate of pay for this new position has been agreed upon. If the Company and the Union cannot reach an agreement, then at the request of either party, the matter shall be submitted to the arbitration procedure contained in this Agreement. The Company and the Union mutually agree that an arbitrator appointed in accordance with the terms of this Agreement shall have the right to determine the hourly rate of pay to be paid for this new classification and the Company and the Union further agree that the arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding on all parties concerned.
28.03 The Company will issue payment of wages every second Friday by way of direct deposit to the financial institution of the employee’s choice.
WAGES AND CLASSIFICATION. 10.01 Wage Schedule and Regular Rate of Pay. The regular rate of pay shall be defined to include the employee’s hourly wage rate (including the wage premium in lieu of benefits if applicable), plus shift differential if the evening or night shift is a permanent assignment, weekend premium if the weekend shift is a permanent assignment, and lead pay when the employee has a regular (designated) lead assignment. Addendum “A” attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement is the wage schedule. The anniversary step increase occurs at the beginning of the pay period in which the anniversary occurs.
WAGES AND CLASSIFICATION. 14.01 Rates of pay and classification of Employees shall be those outlined in Schedule A and shall be and form part of the Collective Agreement.
(a) The rate of pay of a person upon appointment shall be at least the minimum rate prescribed for the classification to which the Employee has been appointed.
(b) An employee appointed to a position in a higher classification will be paid at the step on the higher classification wage scale that ensures a minimum five percent (5%) wage increase.
(c) An employee appointed to a permanent position in a lower classification will be paid at the step on the lower classification wage scale that is equal to their current wage or, if an equal step does not exist, the closest step that is less than their current wage, subject to Article 23.21.
14.03 The payroll period shall consist of fourteen (14) consecutive days, beginning Sunday and concluding Saturday, two weeks hence. All Employees will have their pays deposited by automatic payroll deposits.
14.04 Employees will be advised of their earnings and deductions on, or before pay day clearly stating the rate of pay, overtime, holiday pay, vacation pay and have miscellaneous deductions fully explained.
14.05 The bi-weekly pay will be calculated by multiplying the bi-weekly regularly scheduled hours by the Employee's rate of pay.
14.06 The workday, for payroll purposes, shall consist of a twenty-four (24) hour period beginning at 12:00 a.m. for all Employees.
14.07 An Employee who works less than twelve (12) months shall at their request have their pay distributed over a ten, eleven, or twelve month period.
14.08 Progress through the wage increment steps provided for in Schedule A shall be automatic, so that an Employee shall receive the wage rate of the next higher step on their anniversary date. However, any period of unpaid time off work pursuant to Article 30.07 shall not be considered in determining progress through the wage increment steps.
14.09 Where an Employee is required by the Employer to perform work for a temporary period they shall receive payment of acting pay equivalent to their increment level at the higher classification.
14.10 Where an Employee is designated to perform the core duties of a higher classification, all overtime while in this temporary assignment shall be paid at the overtime rates for the higher classification.

The Company agrees that any new classification or wage adjustment that may become necessary shall be covered by a supplement of this Agreement, which shall include any adjustments to the present wage rates made necessary by such new classifications. Additions or changes in work performed on a job, shall be the subject of collective bargaining between the Company and the Union.
10.02 All employees shall be paid by direct deposit as the first option. An itemized computation of an employee's pay shall be shown on the employee's pay slip, showing hours worked and rate of pay per hour and all deductions. Vacation accrued and paid shall be provided with the pay slip.
(a) The Company shall endeavour to make pay slips available as soon as possible every second Thursday. Direct deposits of earnings shall be completed by or before end of business day every second Friday.
(b) Employees shall be paid for all earnings in a pay period which shall commence on the Monday immediately following each payday and run through the next fourteen (14) days.
(c) Should an error or omission occur on an employee’s pay in accordance with Article 10.03 (b), the Company shall provide a manual cheque in the required amount, if requested by the employee and if the gross amount is in excess of $50.00, within a week of such a request. If there are any modifications to pay cheques, employees are to be given ample advance notice.
(d) Should an error occur due to an overpayment of wages, vacation pay, advances, expense reimbursement or other proven arrears, the Company is granted the right to deduct the corresponding monies owing from wages, vacation pay, and including final pay due to termination of employment, including termination with or without cause. Any error in excess of $100.00, a payment schedule is to be worked out with the employee before any deduction occurs.
10.04 Any former employee who is rehired starts at the entry wage appropriate for the job class and at day one for the purpose of seniority.
(a) Employees working an Afternoon Shift as per Schedule B will be paid a shift premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour in addition to their regular hourly rate.

(a) The ratio of Bricklayers’ and Stonemasons’ Apprentices applicable to any one project shall be not more than two (2) Bricklayers and Stonemasons’ Apprentices for the first Journeyman plus not more than one additional Bricklayer and Stonemason’s Apprentice for each additional five (5) Journeymen employed provided that such Bricklayer and Stonemason’s Apprentices are registered with the Union and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.
(b) An employee who registers as an apprentice with the Labourers Local 183 Members Training and Rehabilitation Fund will be employed by an Employer for the duration of the apprenticeship and must attend the training when required to do so. The apprentice shall become a member of the Union after completion of Level. 1.
(c) It is agreed that throughout their employment, Bricklayers and Stonemasons’ apprentices shall receive vacation and holiday pay of 10% plus the same benefit and contribution package as the Bricklayer.
(d) The wages for Bricklayers’ and Stonemasons' Apprentices registered with the Labourers Local 183 Members Training and Rehabilitation Fund shall be as follows:
i) For employment following completion of Level 1, the apprentice shall be paid no less than $16.00 per hour, plus vacation pay;
ii) For employment following completion of Level 2, the apprentice shall be paid no less than $18.00 per hour, plus vacation pay;
iii) For Employment following completion of Level 3, the apprentice shall be paid no less than fifty-percent (50%) of Journeyman’s rate for six hundred (600) hours of employment;
iv) sixty-five percent (65%) of Journeyman’s rate for the next six hundred (600) hours of employment;
v) seventy-five percent (75%) of Journeyman’s rate for the next twelve hundred (1200) hours of employment;
vi) eighty-five percent (85%) of Journeyman’s rate for the next twelve hundred (1200) hours of employment; and
vii) thereafter the Journeyman's rate.
(e) The wages for Bricklayers’ and Stonemasons’ Apprentices who are not registered with the Labourers Local 183 Members Training and Rehabilitation Fund shall be as follows:
i) fifty-percent (50%) of Journeyman’s rate for the first six hundred (600) hours of employment;
ii) sixty-five percent (65%) of Journeyman’s rate for the next six hundred (600) hours of employment;
iii) seventy-five percent (75%) of Journeyman’s rate for the next twelve hundred (1200) hours of employment;

WAGES AND CLASSIFICATION. 13.1 The wage rates and classifications for members of the bargaining unit and any departmental provisions are contained in Appendix B and C attached hereto and are a part of this Agreement by this reference. Employees will be paid rates in Appendix C if they are on the payroll on the date of ratification. Wage tables attached may be adjusted by the Auditor to account for rounding which shall not exceed 2¢ on any wage rate. There is no dynamic status quo regarding wages and steps beyond the term of this Agreement.
