Chapter Officers. The Board agrees to provide up to a maximum of twenty four (24) contact hours total reassigned time per year to the Union. With the prior approval of the Chief, the Chapter President, Vice President and Secretary shall each be allowed up to one (1) hour of duty time in each normal work week for the performance of Chapter business. Unused time shall not accumulate nor shall time be borrowed from future weeks.

Chapter Officers. In Departments represented by SEIU 1021, the Union shall designate five (5) representatives who shall be allowed time off on County time with corresponding reduction in work assignments, up to sixteen (16) hours per week per representative, for meetings during regular working hours when formally meeting and conferring in good faith or consulting with the Labor Relations Officer or other management representatives on matters within the scope of representation or for the reasons as provided in 4.1.a through 4.1.e above. In each case, advance arrangements for time away from the employee's work assignment shall be made with the Department Head or designee.
