CHECKING OUT. When checking out of the housing facility, Licensee must return the room to the original configuration and condition; turn in all keys; and remove all personal property. It is the Licensee's responsibility to follow proper university check-out procedures (Licensee should check with their front desk for proper check-out procedures); failure to do so may result in charges for improper check-out. Licensee's meal plan will become invalid upon termination of License Agreement.
CHECKING OUT. It is the student’s responsibility to schedule a time to check out with a member of the residence life staff in order to sign the RCR and return all keys. Failure to do so is considered an improper check out, and the resident will be subject to a $50 fine. Students must return all keys immediately upon checking out. This includes room keys, laundry keys, kitchen keys, bicycle storage room keys, etc. Failure to return any key will result in a $75 lock replacement fee for each unreturned key. Students who fail to return a key will only be permitted to mail a key if it is sent certified in a padded envelope within 72 hours of the date the student vacated the room.
CHECKING OUT. The Licensee shall vacate the housing unit using procedures outlined by FHS which are provided thirty (30) days before the end of each semester or upon termination of his or her license to use a housing unit, whichever is sooner. Licensees must follow the guidelines in the Check-out/Transfer Procedures located in the License Agreement. All personal property must be removed from the housing unit prior to the time that keys are returned. Failure to follow establish procedures shall result in removal of his/her personal property, moving/storage charges and lock change fees, and may result in the imposition of additional License Fees including $150 for late check-out and billing for continued occupancy. FHS does not accept any liability for belongings left in Licensee’s housing unit and such items may be disposed of pursuant to the laws of the State of California as outlined in Title 5. Section 42375, entitled Care, Restitution, Sale or Destruction of Lost Property, and Section 42376, entitled Proceeds of Sale. Licensee has the right to appeal charges to the Director of Housing or his/her designee by submitting an appeal by email to the director’s email address within 30 days of receipt of charges. Any Licensee who does not vacate the housing unit as required by this section shall be evicted in the manner provided by the laws of the State of California and charged a daily rate through the length of stay and may be charged any other applicable fees or charges. The matter shall be referred to the California State University Office of General Counsel for appropriate legal action.
CHECKING OUT a. When moving out of the Residence, you must remove all personal belongings, clean and return your Room to the condition it was in when you moved in, return all keys and check out with a Resident Assistant (RA) in accordance with established check-out procedures for your Residence.
b. If you fail to check out properly, you may be charged for clean-up and disposal of trash in, or damages done to, your Room or common area and you waive your right to be present as any damages are identified and charges assessed.
c. You are expected to check out of the Residence:
a. Within 24 hours after you complete your last final exam OR by 5:00 p.m. on the day following the conclusion of final exams, whichever comes first OR
b. Within 24 hours after you withdraw from the University
d. If you fail to check out by the deadline(s) set forth above, the University will change the Room lock(s), retake the Room, and take possession of any of your personal property found in the Room and store it, at your expense, for a period of 21 days. If you do not contact Residence Life to reclaim the property within the 21-day time period, the property will be considered abandoned and the University may sell or otherwise dispose of the property.
CHECKING OUT. 9.11.1 All CCMs are required to check out with Crew Scheduling after a Duty Period which terminates at Home Base.
9.11.2 CCMs should check out via e-crew either from their own personal computing device, or from a Crew Room computer.
9.11.3 If a CCM is unable to check-out out via e-crew, he must call Crew Scheduling and check out over the phone.
CHECKING OUT. Residents changing rooms between contract periods must complete their move no later than the deadline set each semester by Housing and Residence Life in departmental closing information. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of a move or, if necessary, the moving and storage of resident’s belongings at the resident’s expense. Residents who do not properly vacate their rooms by the assigned deadlines will be charged a minimum fee of $50.00 for improper check out.
i. Students who continue to reside in residential facilities and do not obtain approval for contract extension after the contract end date, will be assessed an unauthorized occupant fee of $100.00 per day until notice of completed check-out.
CHECKING OUT a. d. You are expected to check out of the Residence:

e. f. It is understood once personal property is deposited in a dumpster or trash, it is deemed abandoned. You also understand that if the University accepts possession of your personal property prior to deposit into a dumpster or trash as part of University sustainability programs, such personal property is also deemed abandoned.
CHECKING OUT. As a part of the checkout process, a student is responsible for turning in his/her key and prox card, mailbox key/combo card, and completing a final inventory of the bed space and any applicable common area spaces with a member of the Residence Life staff. The individual’s room must be cleaned and empty before the checkout process can begin. Failure to follow or to complete the checkout process will result in an improper checkout charge.
CHECKING OUT. End of Period of Letting 2.54 The Student will comply with the checking out procedure which will be emailed to them. This includes leaving the Accommodation in the same state of cleanliness it was found on move in, removing all rubbish and waste from the Accommodation, returning furniture and fittings to their original positions and locking all exterior doors when the Accommodation has been cleared.
