Co-Curricular Positions. 13.1 Salaries for co-curricular positions will be determined by years of experience in the field as per the Co-Curricular Salary Schedule in the appendix. Any and all co- curricular activities will be offered at the sole discretion of the School Board upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools. 13.2 Notice of all co-curricular vacancies will be e-mailed to the staff five (5) school days prior to seeking non-school applicants to fill a specific position. After five (5) days, the vacant position will be posted on the District website. 13.2.1 Vacancies that occur during the summer that must be filled prior to the opening of school shall be posted as above in 13.3. Individuals may also submit letters of interest for specific positions to the appropriate building principal in advance. 13.3 Any co-curricular position newly created during the term of this Agreement shall be placed on the Co-Curricular Salary Schedule by the School Board until mutual agreement is reached. 13.4 In October of each year, a meeting including representation from School Board, ILEA, and Administration will be conducted to review and update the Co-Curricular Salary Schedule.

Salary service increments will be based on consecutive years in a specific position. Transferring from one position to another will result in the employee being treated as described in D above. F. Once an employee has reached the level 5 pay status that salary shall increase at a rate of 3% per year.

Co-Curricular Positions. Due to the scope of his/her responsibility, any council member will not be permitted to hold an extra or co-curricular assignment.

Co-Curricular Positions. Co-curricular positions which require certification are those positions which have both a classroom and extended day component and therefore are contractually linked. Any position which in the future doesn’t meet this guideline will no longer be considered a co-curricular activity and will be excluded from this Bargaining Agreement.
Co-Curricular Positions. Psychologists that wish to carry a stipend co-curricular position must obtain the permission of their Coordinator/Lead Administrator assuring that said assignment does not impact on their assigned duties. Assignments that carry a stipend shall not be assigned without the consent of the Psychologist.
Co-Curricular Positions. Notices advertising all vacancies relating to co- and extra-curricular positions should be posted where these notices would normally be posted. Criteria for filling these positions will not be subject to negotiations. The Board of Education will be able to utilize non-unit school district personnel to perform co- and extra-curricular responsibilities if there are not more qualified volunteers within the teachers unit. Present incumbents of these positions, who are not included within the teachers unit, will be able to maintain their present positions as long as the individuals and the Board of Education so agree.
