Communication Meetings. Each Union member shall be entitled to twelve paid communication meetings. An authorised Company representative must approve the timing and duration of these meetings, for a duration of up to three (3) hours each, inclusive of travel time to and from site, which are to be held throughout the year during rostered hours of work. The Unions will endeavour to hold their meetings at the same time. If the meetings are not held at the same time, there must still be sufficient mines rescue employees working to ensure the continued operation of the Mine. The Unions will supply tentative dates of the meetings over a 12-month period, on an annual basis, and will confirm the dates of the next meeting at the monthly Union/Management Company report back meeting. During Monthly Communication Meetings, the Union will endeavour to provide coverage to operate and provide breakdown coverage for the essential critical mining equipment for Dragline, Coal Handling Plant and Train Loadout Operations. This clause will not preclude Employees from attending Monthly Communication Meetings if they choose.
Communication Meetings. A communication meeting may be held at a regularly scheduled time if requested by the Association or the District. The meeting shall consist of two Association representatives and two District representatives. The meeting shall be used as an open forum to discuss employer/employee issues.

(g) the content of these meetings whilst primarily focused on safety, improving efficiency, productivity and profitability should also include matters that are Site specific and Agreement matters including company matters and Health and Wellbeing.

3.7.1 For the purposes of this clause, meetings are defined as:
a) Senior Management information sessions.
b) Departmental Meetings in your own area of the business. These meetings are called by either the departmental manager or coordinator on a monthly basis, and are held in the employees work area meeting room (or by pre- arrangement to an appropriate meeting room) or on the floor within your own department. These meetings are booked and notified 6 months in advance and are set at a time which would allow a maximum amount of employees on shift to attend. In most cases, more than one meeting is held within a department to ensure the maximum attendance during rostered hours. As is the current practice, employees on annual leave, sick leave or rostered days off will not be required to make the journey back into the workplace for the meetings. Anyone not able to attend, should see their Manager as soon as possible to ensure they are up to date on all information.
c) Individual employees taking part in committees, work improvement teams and other business meetings (excluding Enterprise Bargaining meetings).
