Competencies and Training. We Are With You training events will be held regularly (at least annually) and the content will be available to all of the pharmacy team, even if they are not currently involved in provision of the Service. Training for pharmacy staff will include appropriate related topics including basic drugs awareness, referral, health promotion, the harm minimisation approach to treatment, feedback on learning from incidents, developments, and national guidance. Attendance at the first session on initiation of accreditation and service provision and then at least one session per year is compulsory for the Accountable Pharmacist(s) and/or Pharmacy Technician(s) accredited to oversee the Service in each participating pharmacy. It is also a requirement for the accredited Pharmacist(s) and/or Pharmacy Technician(s) at each pharmacy to have completed in the last two years or go on to complete the latest CPPE Distance Learning Package on “Substance Use and Misuse” within 6 months of commencing service provision. Pharmacists must incorporate this to complete a CPPE Declaration of Competence (DoC) for Supervised Consumption of Prescribed medicines and ensure it is reviewed regularly. It is the responsibility of the accredited Pharmacist(s) and/or Pharmacy Technician(s) of the participating pharmacy to ensure their staff have been provided with appropriate training, this will include health and safety, an overall understanding of the Service, relevant SOPs and the importance of maintaining confidentiality. In the event of changes to the accountable, accredited pharmacist or technician then We Are With You will be informed within 6 weeks of the situation. A new accountable pharmacist/technician will be allowed 3 months to complete the required CPPE training/DoC to take over as the replacement pharmacist. The accredited/lead pharmacist must work at least three days a week in the pharmacy. Where locums or part time pharmacists predominantly operate a pharmacy, the area manager pharmacist or equivalent must nominate a lead technician/manager to act as a contact in this store. This must be communicated to We Are With You promptly. The Responsible Pharmacist on duty at any time will retain professional responsibility and liability for the Service. In line with this, the pharmacy employing locums must ensure the locums employed are suitably trained as described to operate a supervised consumption service. It is also a requirement for the Pharmacist(s) and/or Pharmacy Technician(s) at each Pharmacy to complete the most recent CPPE Declaration of Competence for Needle Syringe Provision within 6 months of commencing service provision. It is the responsibility of the accredited Pharmacist(s) / Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacy Technician(s) of the participating Pharmacy, to ensure all their staff including locums involved in the provision of the Service have relevant knowledge and are appropriately trained in the operation of the Service. This will be monitored as part of Contract and Performance Management by We Are With You. The Pharmacy must also have provided the staff with appropriate health and safety training, including the safe handling of injecting equipment, an overall understanding of the Service and its harm reduction ethos, and the importance of maintaining confidentiality. The area of the Pharmacy used for the provision should provide a sufficient level of privacy and safety for the service user, public and staff. A consultation area/private room is not essential; however if used a risk assessment must be undertaken.
Competencies and Training. Pharmacists must have or be working towards the open learning module, Substance Use and Misuse: Supporting pharmacists for improved patient care, provided by the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) in England, or the equivalent Scottish, Welsh or Northern Ireland packs (Ref. Harmonisation of Accreditation, Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services, August 2006). Pharmacists who have completed the Part 2 Royal College of General Practitioners Certificate (RCGP) in the Management of Drug Misuse in Primary Care may be eligible, in future, to apply for posts as pharmacists with special interest (PhwSI) in drug misuse. In conjunction with funding from Cheshire DAAT, Pharmacists will have access to RCGP Part 1 training. This training would be delivered by Cheshire Drug Service who has RCGP approved trainers. Relevant training would also be provided for dispensers and pharmacy staff in areas such as Blood-Borne Virus Transmission, basic drugs awareness and referral pathways. Pharmacists will attend at least one educational meeting or training opportunity per year.

The CCG in conjunction with Lifeline Project must be furnished with a copy of the self-declaration certificates on completion. 12.3 It is the responsibility of the accredited Pharmacist(s) / Pharmacy Manger / Dispensing Technician(s) of the participating pharmacy to ensure their staff has been provided with appropriate training and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
Competencies and Training. Nothing contained within this agreement is intended to remove the inherent professional obligations or accountabilities pertaining to dispensing pharmacy practices. All pharmacists and registered technicians involved in providing this service must fully adhere to their relevant professional code of conduct. It is the personal responsibility of each professional to practice only within the bounds of their competence. The pharmacist on duty has overall responsibility for ensuring the service is delivered in accordance with this service specification. The service provider has a responsibility to ensure that all staff providing the service do so strictly in accordance with the service specification.

  • Orientation and Training A transferring employee will be orientated separately to both or their new home in accordance with Article 20 the collective agreement of the designated employer.

  • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available. The outside contractor shall review and develop on-going educational and training information on the adverse consequences of substance abuse and the responsibility to avoid being under the influence of alcohol or chemicals at work. Certain training required by the DOT Regulations shall be the responsibility of the Substance Abuse Program.

  • Trainings Appointment of any length involving two (2) or more Consumers who might need to split up to join different trainings, group discussions, etc.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Professional Development and Training The Company shall pay for or reimburse the Executive for any reasonable professional development or training.

  • Employment and Training Administration The ratio of trainees to journeymen on the job site shall not be greater than permitted under the plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration. Every trainee must be paid at not less than the rate specified in the approved program for the trainee's level of progress, expressed as a percentage of the journeyman hourly rate specified in the applicable wage determination. Trainees shall be paid fringe benefits in accordance with the provisions of the trainee program. If the trainee program does not mention fringe benefits, trainees shall be paid the full amount of fringe benefits listed on the wage determination unless the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division determines that there is an apprenticeship program associated with the corresponding journeyman wage rate on the wage determination which provides for less than full fringe benefits for apprentices. Any employee listed on the payroll at a trainee rate who is not registered and participating in a training plan approved by the Employment and Training Administration shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the classification of work actually performed. In addition, any trainee performing work on the job site in excess of the ratio permitted under the registered program shall be paid not less than the applicable wage rate on the wage determination for the work actually performed. In the event the Employment and Training Administration withdraws approval of a training program, the contractor will no longer be permitted to utilize trainees at less than the applicable predetermined rate for the work performed until an acceptable program is approved.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend. b. The awareness program shall include but not be limited to: i. the definitions of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; ii. understanding situations that are not harassment or sexual harassment, including the exercise of an employer's managerial and/or supervisory rights and responsibilities; iii. developing an awareness of behaviour that is illegal and/or inappropriate; iv. outlining strategies to prevent harassment and sexual harassment; v. a review of the resolution of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; vi. understanding malicious complaints and the consequences of such; vii. outlining any Board policy for dealing with harassment and sexual harassment; viii. outlining laws dealing with harassment and sexual harassment which apply to employees in B.C.

  • STUDENTS AND TRAINEES Payments which a student, or an apprentice or business, technical, agricultural or forestry trainee, who is or was immediately before visiting a Contracting State a resident of the other Contracting State and who is present in the first-mentioned State solely for the purpose of his education or training receives for the purpose of his maintenance, education or training shall not be taxed in that State, provided that such payments arise from sources outside that State.

  • Customer Support and Training System Agency will provide support for the CMBHS, including problem tracking and problem resolution. System Agency will provide telephone numbers for Grantees to obtain access to expert assistance for CMBHS-related problem resolution. System Agency will provide initial CMBHS training. Grantee shall provide subsequent ongoing end-user training.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction. (b) The Employer shall provide sufficient and adequate training and/or orientation to any employee working in a new or unfamiliar work area or position.
