Continuation of Leave. A bargaining unit member who is absent due to illness or injury, who can provide satisfactory evidence of same, and who has exhausted their accrued sick leave, or a member who has been granted a leave of absence, will be permitted to charge such absence to their available vacation time or compensatory time.

Continuation of Leave. 12.1 If an employee has exhausted all existing leaves, both paid and unpaid, and desires to be absent from the District for up to one (1) additional year, the employee may apply for a continuation of his/her unpaid leave. 12.2 This type of leave shall be granted only to tenured employees. The employee shall give 10 days’ notice of this request for continuation of leave. The duration of the leave shall be not less than a trimester nor longer than three trimesters. This type of leave is without pay and shall not be counted toward STRS retirement or as a part of service to the District, but shall not be viewed as a break in service. 12.3 A written request shall be submitted to the District to determine if the request would meet any one of the following criteria: ◊ Is needed due to the illness of the employee; or ◊ Is needed to enable the employee to provide care for his/her immediate family. 12.4 If the District finds that the request meets any of the criteria, the application shall be submitted to the Board for approval.

(d) If the District finds that the request meets any of the criteria, the application shall be submitted to the Board for approval.
Continuation of Leave. A unit member who is granted an unpaid leave of less than a full school year may request a continuation of the leave to the end of that school year.
Continuation of Leave. The granting or continuation of extended medical leave shall be contingent on the provision of any medical documentation required or requested by the School District.

  • Continuation of Lease Landlord may continue this Lease in full force and effect and the Lease will continue in effect as long as Landlord does not terminate Tenant’s right to possession, and Landlord shall have the right to collect Rent when due. During the period Tenant is in Default, Landlord can enter the Premises and relet them, or any part of them, to third parties for Tenant’s account. Tenant shall be liable immediately to Landlord for all costs Landlord incurs in reletting the Premises, including, without limitation, brokers’ commissions, expenses of remodeling the Premises required by the reletting, and like costs. Reletting can be for a period shorter or longer than the remaining term of this Lease. Tenant shall pay to Landlord the Rent due under this Lease on the dates the Rent is due, less the rent Landlord receives from any reletting. No act by Landlord allowed by this paragraph shall terminate this Lease unless Landlord Notifies Tenant that Landlord elects to terminate this Lease. If Landlord elects to relet the Premises as provided in this paragraph, rent that Landlord receives from reletting shall be applied to the payment of: First, any indebtedness from Tenant to Landlord other than Fixed Rent due from Tenant; Second, all costs, including for maintenance, incurred by Landlord in reletting; Third, Fixed Rent due and unpaid under this Lease. After deducting the payments referred to in this paragraph, any sum remaining from the rent Landlord receives from reletting shall be held by Landlord and applied in payment of future Rent as Rent becomes due under this Lease. In no event shall Tenant be entitled to any excess rent received by Landlord. If, on the date Rent is due under this Lease, the rent received from the reletting is less than the Rent due on that date, Tenant shall pay to Landlord, in addition to the remaining Rent due, all costs, including for maintenance, Landlord incurred in reletting that remain after applying the rent received from the reletting as provided in this paragraph.

  • Termination of Leave Interruption of pregnancy will terminate the leave. Human Resources may require in such cases forty-five (45) days’ notice to return.

  • Duration of Leave An eligible female employee may apply for pregnancy leave, to commence after the 22nd week of pregnancy for a duration of up to 17 weeks. The pregnancy leave of an employee who is not entitled to take parental leave ends on the later of the day that is seventeen weeks after the pregnancy leave began or the day that is six weeks after the birth, still-birth or miscarriage.

  • Extension of Leave 7 If an extension of the leave is required, a request for the extension must be 8 submitted in writing at least five (5) days in advance of the leave expiration 9 or as soon as practical. Consideration of an extension will be based on the 10 same criteria as the original request. Failure to return to work at the 11 expiration of the leave may result in termination.

  • Continuation of Coverage If your coverage is terminated, you may be eligible to continue your coverage in accordance with state or federal law. In accordance with R.I. General Laws §. 27-19.1, if your employment is terminated due to one of the following reason, your healthcare coverage may be continued, provided that you continue to pay the applicable premiums. • Involuntary layoff or death; • The workplace ceasing to exist; or • Permanent reduction in size of the workforce. The period of this continuation will be for up to eighteen (18) months from your termination date, but not to exceed the period of continuous employment preceding termination with your employer. The continuation period will end for any person covered under your policy on the date the person becomes employed by another group and is eligible for benefits under that group’s plan.

  • CONTINUATION OF COMPANY In the event of an occurrence described in Section 1.04, if there is at least (1) one remaining Member, the remaining Member has the right to continue the business of the Company. The remaining Member’s successor, assignee, or transferee may continue the business of the Company, provided the successor, assignee, or transferee consents to the continuation in writing and submits any necessary filings to the office of the Secretary of State.

  • Continuation of Agreement This Agreement shall become effective for each Fund as of the date first set forth above and shall continue in effect for each Fund until August 1, 2010, unless sooner terminated as hereinafter provided, and shall continue in effect from year to year thereafter for each Fund only as long as such continuance is specifically approved at least annually (i) by either the Board of Directors or by the vote of a majority of the outstanding voting securities of such Fund, and (ii) by the vote of a majority of the Directors, who are not parties to the Agreement or interested persons of any such party, cast in person at a meeting called for the purpose of voting on such approval.   • Continuation of Health Benefits An employee on an approved Military Caregiver Leave shall be entitled to continue participation in health plan coverage (medical, dental, and optical) as if on pay status during the leave.

  • Continuation of Terms Upon any reorganization, consolidation, merger or transfer (and any dissolution following any transfer) referred to in this Section 3, this Warrant shall continue in full force and effect and the terms hereof shall be applicable to the Other Securities and property receivable on the exercise of this Warrant after the consummation of such reorganization, consolidation or merger or the effective date of dissolution following any such transfer, as the case may be, and shall be binding upon the issuer of any Other Securities, including, in the case of any such transfer, the person acquiring all or substantially all of the properties or assets of the Company, whether or not such person shall have expressly assumed the terms of this Warrant as provided in Section 4. In the event this Warrant does not continue in full force and effect after the consummation of the transaction described in this Section 3, then only in such event will the Company's securities and property (including cash, where applicable) receivable by the Holder of the Warrants be delivered to the Trustee as contemplated by Section 3.2.

  • Continuation of the Company The Company shall not be dissolved upon the occurrence of any event that is deemed to terminate the continued membership of a Member, but rather the Company shall continue without dissolution, and its affairs shall not be required to be wound up.
