Current Annual Sick Leave a. A total of ten (10) full working days per year with full pay shall be granted each full-time certified employee. For the purposes of this Agreement, a full working day for a full time employee equals eight (8) hours. Employees working half-time or more, but less than full-time, shall be granted ten (10) sick leave days pro-rated in direct proportion to the number of hours employed. Such current sick leave shall accrue to the employee on July 1 of each year or upon date of employment, whichever is later.

Current Annual Sick Leave a. In accordance with the ORS applicable to sick leave, an annual ten (10) full working days of sick leave shall be available with full pay and with unlimited accumulation to all bargaining unit members each fiscal year. For the purposes of this Agreement, a full working day for a full-time employee equals eight (8) hours. Family is defined as a spouse, co-habitating partner, children, step-children, parents, in-laws, siblings, grandparents, and grandchildren. b. The District shall comply with all state and federal leave laws regarding pregnancy, parental, and sick child leave. Employees believing they are eligible for such leave may contact the Human Resources Department for assistance. c. Accrued sick leave may be used in accordance with ORS 653.601 through 653.661, and for the purpose of pregnancy, parental, and sick child leaves as permitted by state and federal laws. d. Employees shall notify their principals or supervisors promptly on the first day of illness or other incapacitation. In all cases where sick leave has been used, the employee shall verify by signature or electronically the reason for absence on the absence log. e. A grant of sick leave in excess of five (5) consecutive days may require verification by a written statement from the employee’s attending physician or practitioner that injury or illness prevents the individual from working. If the absence is extended over successive pay periods, these verifications must be submitted regularly each month or worded in such a way by the physician as to indicate the length of absence. Those individuals who for religious reasons do not employ the services of a medical physician shall furnish such other proof as may be required by the District.

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.

  • Sick Leave Annual Cash Out ‌ Each January, employees are eligible to receive cash on a one (1) hour for four (4) hours basis for ninety-six (96) hours or less of their accrued sick leave, if: A. Their sick leave balance at the end of the previous calendar year exceeds four hundred and eighty (480) hours; B. The converted sick leave hours do not reduce their previous calendar year sick leave balance below four hundred and eighty (480) hours; and C. They notify their payroll office by January 31st that they would like to convert their sick leave hours earned during the previous calendar year, minus any sick leave hours used during the previous year, to cash. All converted hours will be deducted from the employee’s sick leave balance.

  • Base Annual Salary “Base Annual Salary” means the greater of (1) the highest annual rate of base salary in effect for the Executive during the 12 month period immediately prior to a Change in Control or, (2) the annual rate of base salary in effect at the time Notice of Termination is given (or on the date employment is terminated if no Notice of Termination is required).

  • Paid Sick Leave For those jurisdictions that have passed or will pass legislation requiring Paid Sick Leave, Paid Sick Time will be billed back to Client at the straight-time bill rate for all hours taken by any Consultant assigned to Client. This section is not applicable until the effective date of such legislation has been reached.

  • Cumulative Sick Leave The normal cumulative sick leave allowance each year shall be ten (10) days for employees on thirty-eight (38) through forty-two (42) week assignments. Teachers on eleven (11) and twelve (12) month assignments shall receive one (1) day per month up to a maximum of twelve (12) days each year. A teacher shall be permitted to carry forward the unused portion of sick leave without limit. The balance of accumulated sick leave shall be printed on the teacher's bi-weekly statement of earnings.

  • Additional Sick Leave In unusual cases of prolonged illness the Township Committee may, by resolution, grant Sick Leave at one-half (½) rate of pay to an Employee over the time allowed and available for use in Section 2. hereinbefore set forth in this Article to a maximum of twenty-six

  • Vacation; Sick Leave During the Employment Term, the Executive shall be entitled to not less than four (4) weeks of vacation during each calendar year and sick leave in accordance with the Company’s policies and practices with respect to its executives.

  • Family Sick Leave An employee may use sick leave credits for family illness or injury only if the employee must provide direct care to an immediate family member. For purposes of family sick leave, “immediate family member” will mean the employee’s parent, spouse, or child, including step-child and xxxxxx child.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave During the Term, Executive shall be entitled to (a) sick leave in accordance with the Company’s policies applicable to similarly situated executive officers of the Company from time to time and (b) 4 weeks paid vacation each calendar year (up to 40 hours of which may be carried forward to a succeeding year).
