Design Team Coordination a. The Design Team shall produce a design in which all MEP/FP systems fit within the intended spaces provided, including necessary and required clearances, egress zones, and access zones. To help achieve this goal, the Design Team shall have a formal 3D spatial analysis and clash resolution process that forms the backbone of the QA/QC process. The spatial analysis and clash resolution process shall include regularly scheduled clash review meetings and the use of software tools to analyze and resolve clashes.

Design Team Coordination. Document Assembly Consultant shall collect and compile deliverables from all technical disciplines and assemble plans, technical special provisions and the cost estimate for the design milestones of 90% and 100%. This is a design coordination and assembly task to prepare the deliverables in one package and make electronic and hard copies. Consultant shall prepare 90% complete Advance Plans, including, but not limited to: title sheet, typical sections, details, temporary protection and direction of traffic (including bicycle and pedestrian traffic), construction staging, plans, profiles, erosion control plans, drainage details, pipe data sheet, retaining wall plans and details, sign and striping plans, illumination plans, and signal plans in accordance with ODOT’s Contract Plan Development Guide.. Consultant shall reference ODOT standard drawings and details, and other related drawings, and include City Standard drawings and details. This also includes the following: • Provide a Preliminary Plan Comment review log that addresses the resolution of all City and ODOT preliminary plan comments demonstrating how they were addressed in the advanced plans. • Identify contractor staging areas • All necessary local, state, federal permits • Prepare a draft and final design exception request for each design deviation from the CPM and OPM approved standards. Consultant shall use the ODOT Design Acceptance Request form for ODOT design exceptions. • Submit the ODOT Civil Rights Request for Goals Worksheet to the ODOT Office of Civil rights and incorporate the appropriate Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (“DBE”) goals and Minority, Women, and Emerging Small Business (“MWESB”) aspirational target values into the Project Special Provisions: • Consultant shall prepare Project Special Provisions based on changes and clarifications to the Project design, and in accordance with ODOT Contract Plans Development Guide (CPDG) and ODOT Specification and Writing Style Manual. Consultant shall prepare the Special Provisions to the 90% level (the “Advance Special Provisions”) in MS Word utilizing “Track Changes”. • The Advance Special Provisions must incorporate ODOT’s current boilerplate Special Provisions. • Consultant shall obtain concurrence from the proper ODOT technical expert for any changes made to the Standard Specifications, beyond fill-in-the-blank changes. • Consultant shall update the construction cost estimate quantities and unit costs utilizing ODOT standard bid items ...

  • Utility Coordination Identify all potential utility conflicts and provide preliminary office check plans showing the problem locations, posted to the City’s FTP site. Plans will clearly identify specific utility company facilities by color and by name (i.e. not just “gas” or “fiber optic”). ENGINEER shall include a conflict list for each utility, also posted to the FTP site. ENGINEER shall meet with utility company representatives to review plans and utility verification forms (Attachment No. 3 to Exhibit “A”) at each milestone date and as directed by the CITY and as determined necessary by the ENGINEER. This in- formation will be compiled into a summary report (Attachment No. 4 to Exhibit “A” also available on the City’s FTP site) maintained and updated by ENGINEER as necessary to present a cohesive and reflective status of utilities, and provided to the City as necessary. ENGINEER shall maintain involvement with utility companies until all conflicts have been resolved (not just identified). When appropriate, the City Engineer will approve the identification on plans of conflicts to be resolved during construction. ENGINEER shall meet with involved utility company/ies and project contractor to resolve any conflicts with utilities that occur during construction.

  • Project Team To accomplish Owner’s objectives, Owner intends to employ a team concept in connection with the construction of the Project. The basic roles and general responsibilities of team members are set forth in general terms below but are more fully set forth in the Design Professional Contract with respect to the Design Professional, in the Program Management Agreement with any Program Manager, and in this Contract with respect to the Contractor.
