DUTIES AND PLACE OF WORK. 3.1 The Executive shall (unless prevented by ill health) devote the whole of his time and attention during normal business hours (except during holidays) entirely to the business of the Group subject to and in accordance with any general or special directions which may from time to time be given to him by the Board and will well and faithfully perform the same and use his utmost endeavours to promote the interests of the Group. 3.2 The Executive agrees that the limit on weekly working hours contained in the Working Time Regulations 1998 shall not apply to this employment. 3.3 The Executive shall act as an officer of the Company or any Associated Company or hold any other appointment or office as nominee or representative of the Company as the Board shall direct. 3.4 The Executive's place of work shall be at such place in the United Kingdom as the Company shall from time to time determine and notify to the Executive. The Executive may be required to carry out his duties outside the United Kingdom and the conditions applicable to periods outside the United Kingdom are attached as an Appendix to this Agreement. 3.5 Once notice to terminate employment has been given by the Executive or the Company, the Company: 3.5.1 shall be under no obligation to provide any work or work of any particular kind for the Executive; and 3.5.2 may require the Executive not to attend work at any or all premises of the Company but his salary and any other contractual benefits shall not cease to be payable or provided by reason only of the Company exercising its right pursuant to this clause 3.5. This clause 3.5 shall not affect the general right of the Company to suspend or dismiss the Executive for good cause.

DUTIES AND PLACE OF WORK. You are employed by the Chancellor, Masters, and Scholars of the University of Oxford. You will be responsible for the performance of your duties to the Head of Department or to such other member of staff as may be authorised by that person. The person or officer to whom you are responsible may specify your normal place of work within any University occupied premises or associated facilities. Your normal place of work until further notice and following appropriate consultation with you is detailed in your contract. You may be required to undertake travel on University business away from your normal place of work and/or to work away from Oxford. Appropriate and approved expenses will be paid for such travel and work. You will not be required to work outside the UK for more than one month during the term of your employment.

The Director may be required to carry out his duties outside the United Kingdom for periods in excess of one month. 3.5 The Director shall not during the continuance of this Agreement, except with the written consent of the Board or as a holder (by way of investment only) of no more than 3% of the total amount of the stocks, shares or debentures of any company which are for the time being quoted on a Recognised Investment Exchange, be:- 3.5.1 in any manner interested in any company or firm carrying on any business which is in competition with any of the business or businesses for the time being of the Company. 3.6 Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company may at any time suspend the Director from the performance of his duties or exclude him from any or all of the premises of the Company for the purpose of investigating and determining any allegation of serious misconduct provided that throughout any such suspension or exclusion the Director's salary and other benefits hereunder shall continue to be paid or provided in fully. 3.7 Once notice to terminate employment has been given by the Director or the Company, the Company: 3.7.1 shall be under no obligation to provide any work or work of any particular kind for the Director; 3.7.2 may require the Director not to attend work at any or all premises of the Company; 3.7.3 shall require the Director to comply at all times with Clause 3.5 of this Agreement; and 3.7.4 may require the Director to comply with any or all of the pro...
DUTIES AND PLACE OF WORK. 1.1 The Company shall employ you as Director of Development or in any other capacity as the Company may agree with you from time to time.   • Place of Work Your normal place of work is at the School, or at any premises used from time to time by the School, unless Your duties take You elsewhere. The Governing Body reserves the right to require You to work at such other place or places as it may reasonably require from time to time subject to the provision of reasonable notice. You will not usually be required to work outside of the United Kingdom.

  • Location of Work The Executive shall be based in the United States in West Orange, New Jersey. However, the Executive agrees to undertake whatever domestic and worldwide travel is required by the Company. The Executive shall not be required or permitted to relocate without the mutual, written consent of the Executive and the Company.

  • PLACE AND CONDITION OF WORK The City shall provide the Contractor access to the sites where the Contractor is to perform the services as required in order for the Contractor to perform the services in a timely and efficient manner, in accordance with and subject to the applicable security laws, rules, and regulations. The Contractor acknowledges that it has satisfied itself as to the nature of the City’s service requirements and specifications, the location and essential characteristics of the work sites, the quality and quantity of materials, equipment, labor and facilities necessary to perform the services, and any other condition or state of fact which could in any way affect performance of the Contractor’s obligations under the contract. The Contractor hereby releases and holds the City harmless from and against any liability or claim for damages of any kind or nature if the actual site or service conditions differ from expected conditions. The contractor shall, at all times, exercise reasonable precautions for the safety of their employees, City Staff, participants and others on or near the City’s facilities.

  • Standard of Work All work to be performed by or for Tenant pursuant hereto shall be performed diligently and in a first class, workmanlike manner, and in compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, regulations and rules of any public authority having jurisdiction over the Premises and/or Tenant and Landlord’s insurance carriers. Landlord shall have the right, but not the obligation, to inspect periodically the work on the Premises, and Landlord may require changes in the method or quality of the work.

  • ARTICLE HOURS OF WORK The following provision designating regular hours on a daily tour and regular daily tours over the nursing schedule determined by the Hospital shall not be construed to be a guarantee of the hours of work to be performed on each tour or during each tour schedule. Claims submitted to arbitration under this Part shall be considered to arise out of a commercial relationship or transaction for purpose of Article 1 of the New York Convention.

  • PROTECTION OF WORK 12.1 Subcontractor shall effectually secure and protect the work done hereunder and assume full responsibility for the condition thereof until final acceptance by the OWNER and Contractor. Subcontractor further agrees to provide such protection as is necessary to protect the work and the workmen of Contractor, the OWNER, and other subcontractors from its operations. 12.2 Subcontractor shall be liable for any loss or damage to any work in place or to any equipment and materials on the job site caused by Subcontractor or its agents, employees or guests.
