Educational Support Professionals. WORKING HOURS The normal work week for educational support professional employees will not exceed forty (40) hours per week. Typically, the week will be based on eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday. However, the Superintendent may designate other work week structures to meet varying conditions and needs of the District, summer break. Employees will be notified in advance of any modification to the work week/workday plan, except in emergency situations or on a temporary basis that does not exceed two (2) weeks.
Educational Support Professionals. (starting 7-1-99) An ESP who is assigned to a different classification on a temporary basis shall receive 90% of the hourly rate of the least senior (lowest salary) employee of that classification. In no case shall the employee receive less than $.40 per hour increase. For example, a Custodian I employee who is assigned to a head custodian position on a temporary basis shall receive 90% of the hourly rate of the least senior (lowest salary position head custodian). The Superintendent shall formally approve the temporary assignment of any ESP employee if the temporary assignment is needed. A temporary assignment may also be formally approved by the Board. All benefits (for example sick leave, personal leave, and insurance) shall be based on the ESP’s initial position not on the temporary position. An exception to this policy exists if the temporary position is consecutive for 60 working days. At that time, the ESP employee would be eligible for the same benefits as the regular employee’s position. A temporary assignment is defined as an assignment given the ESP employee for at least ten (10) consecutive working days in the same assignment.

Educational Support Professionals a. Number of days (Full-Time and Part-Time Employees) i. Twelve-month employees - 12 days* yearly credited in advance. ii. Ten-month employees - 10 days* yearly credited in advance. *Equivalent days - Example: An employee working regularly four (4) hours per day will receive four (4) hours pay when absent for illness. b. Employees in their first year of service will accumulate sick leave at the rate of one day per month. c. One (1) sick day annually may be taken in hourly increments and all other sick days shall be taken in either half days or full days.

The wage increases for all ESPs, except for teaching assistants in the 2018-2019 school year, shall be as set forth below and shall become effective on July 1st each year of this contract. 2018-19 3.3% 2019-20 3.3% 2020-21 3.0% 2021-22 3.0% b. For the 2018-2019 school year, teaching assistants will receive a 6% wage increase in place of the 3.3%.
Educational Support Professionals. A. The current rates of pay will continue with full force and effect for 2017-2018. Effective July 1, 2018 Educational Support Bargaining Unit Employees will receive an increase in compensation that will produce a 3.0% increase. Example: step 5 will be increase by 3% and will become the new step 6.

  • Outside Professional Activities A. A faculty member may engage in outside professional activity or act in a consulting or advisory capacity to public or private clients, recognizing that suitable contact with the public and private sector offers a desirable means whereby he/she may relate his/her professional activities and teaching to current practice, trends and developments, subject to the following: 1. Such professional activity shall not conflict or interfere with the fulfilment of his/her duties and responsibilities to the University as provided in this agreement; 2. Such professional activities shall not reflect adversely on, or be to the detriment of the University; 3. A faculty member must disclose and seek approval from the Xxxx to undertake outside professional activity when such activity has the potential of not complying with clauses 1 and 2 above. The disclosure shall be in writing and shall include: a) a full description of the work or activity; b) an estimate of the time required or the time period to perform the work (number of hours per week over a period of time, number of weeks, the term or terms when the majority of the activity is scheduled to take place.); c) the extent of the use, if any, of University facilities, supplies, support staff or students; d) any other external activities that have already been approved in that year or that are continuing from an earlier year; and e) the impact of the activity will have on teaching, research, and service responsibilities. The following factors shall serve as guidelines to determine whether the outside professional activity requires prior disclosures to, and approval by the Xxxx: a) The activity is one that conflicts with the faculty member’s teaching activities, e.g. necessitates a rescheduling of teaching sessions, or that reduces student access to the faculty member, etc.; b) The activity is one that results in the faculty member having less time to devote to his/her SRC duties and conflicts with his/her obligations set out in Article 7 Obligations and Article 10 Workload; or c) The activity is one that reduces the faculty member’s ability to meet his/her service duties and conflicts with his/her obligations set out in Article 7 Obligations and Article 10

  • Union Activities If the Contract Amount is $50,000 or more, no Judicial Council funds received under this Agreement will be used to assist, promote or deter union organizing during the term of this Agreement (including any extension or renewal term).
