EEO Counselors a. The Parties agree that proper training, consistent with appropriate Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) regulations, will be provided to designated EEO counselors. b. The Employer will assure that EEO counselors are available and accessible to employees who may have a discrimination complaint. c. Training on the subject of sexual harassment will be included in the Employer's training programs provided to EEO counselors.
EEO Counselors. A. EEO counselors, properly trained in accordance with appropriate regulations, will be made available and accessible to employees on duty time if otherwise in a duty status. The agency will provide information on the role of the EEO Counselor and their functions during the EEO counseling process. B. The Employer will post information in conspicuous places on how to obtain EEO counseling along with appropriate telephone numbers.
EEO Counselors. A. The Department agrees to post the contact information for the appropriate Office of Resolution Management (ORM) office on local bulletin boards. B. The Department will assure that EEO counselors are available and accessible to employees who may have a discrimination complaint. C. The responsibilities of the Department include counseling employees, former employees and applicants who believe they have been discriminated against in the workplace and informing the aggrieved person(s) about the EEO process. The EEO Counselor should work with the parties to provide a channel through which informal resolution(s) can be attempted. D. The parties agree that proper training will be provided to designated EEO counselors consistent with appropriate EEOC regulations.

Section 7 - VA Diversity Council/EEO Committees The Union can appoint two representatives to serve on the Department of Veterans Affairs Diversity Council (VADC). The Department will provide official time, travel, and per diem for the employees appointed by the Union to serve on the VADC. Official time to attend such meetings shall be in addition to any official time presently allowed by this Agreement. Local EEO committee meetings will be conducted during normal duty hours. Bargaining unit employees participating in local EEO committees and special emphasis programs, but not serving in a representational capacity, shall be on duty time. The membership and operation of local committee(s), such as the EEO Advisory Committee, the Diversity Committee, etc., are appropriate subjects for local bargaining. The Department will provide official time for any local union representative serving on such local committees. Official time to attend such meetings shall be in addition to any official time presently allowed by this Agreement. The local union will determine who the representative will be at such meetings. The membership and operation of local committee(s), such as the EEO Advisory Committee, the Diversity Committee, etc., are appropriate subjects for local bargaining. Bargaining unit members will be selected by the local union.
EEO Counselors. Management will appoint and train EEO Counselors selected from a list of nominees which shall include the names of any employees who have been nominated by the NCFLL.
EEO Counselors a. EEO Counselors shall meet the criteria and perform the functions prescribed by the Department's Equal Opportunity Programs. Union representatives who do not otherwise have a conflict of duty may serve as EEO Counselors, except on cases where they are the representative or otherwise have a conflict of interest. b. Management shall solicit nominations for collateral duty EEO Counselors through announcement at local staff meetings and office-wide email notification. c. Any employee may nominate him/herself for a EEO Counselor position. d. The Office of Civil Rights will review the nominations of EEO Counselors and provide approval contingent on completion of required training. e. The Employer will continue to provide EEO Counselors annual refresher training and maintain a list of trained and certified EEO Counselors. f. The names and telephone numbers of EEO Counselors will be posted on bulletin boards and kept current. When feasible, employees may request EEO Counselors of their choosing.
EEO Counselors. EEO counselors will be appointed and trained by the Employer. Candidates must meet the criteria established by the EEO program. Nominations may be made by the Union with the individual’s and supervisor’s concurrence.
