Eligibility and Service. When a promotional examination is held for the promoted rank of Detective, no person shall be eligible to take the examination unless he or she has served three (3) years beyond the successful completion of the one (1) year probation period in the rank of entry level Police Officer with the City of Xxxxxxxx prior to the actual date of the expiration, or exhaustion, of the current promotional list for the rank of Detective.
Eligibility and Service. When a promotional examination is held to establish an eligibility list for the promoted rank of Lieutenant, no person shall be eligible to take the examination unless he or she has served in the rank of Sergeant for twelve
Eligibility and Service. A. When a vacancy occurs in the promoted rank of Police Chief, no person shall be eligible to take the examination unless he or she has served in the rank of Captain for twelve (12) months prior to the actual date of the examination. Provided, in those cases where there are less than two persons who have served twelve (12) months in the rank of Captain prior to the actual date of the examination who are willing to take the examination, the twelve month’s service requirement shall not apply. If the non- application of the twelve (12) month service requirement to persons in the rank of Captain does not produce two individuals eligible and willing to compete, then the same method shall be followed by going to successively lower ranks until two (2) or more persons are eligible and willing to compete in an examination for the vacancy. In the event this process of searching successively lower ranks reaches the rank of Police Officer, the forty-eight (48) month service requirement applies, provided in those cases where such application still fails to produce two (2) persons who are eligible and willing to compete, said forty-eight (48) month service requirement does not apply. In the event two (2) persons are unwilling to compete for such examination, then the one (1) person who is willing to compete shall be appointed to fill the vacancy after passing a qualifying examination.
Eligibility and Service. Every full time Employee shall become a Member of the Plan on the date he/she commences to be an employee. Recognized service means the period of recognized employment with The Canadian Salt Company Limited or a designated subsidiary of predecessor's company calculated in accordance with the Company's Service Rules.

B. Service credited to any Employee of Mid Louisiana Gas Company shall be counted as service with Coho Resources, Inc. for the purposes of determining such Employees' eligibility to participate in the Plan. Service shall be determined as of the date an Employee was first credited with one (1) hour of service with Mid Louisiana Gas Company.

Eligibility and Service. OTHER BENEFIT IMPROVEMENTS: • Increase Chiropractor to a maximum cap of $450.00 per year. Add Massage therapy to the list of practitioners, at same maximum cap. • Increase Retiree Life Insurance to $12,000. Effective for new retirees as of May 1st, 2015. • Increase medical coverage to surviving spouse from 3 months to 18 months. VISION CARE The Company shall provide a Vision Care program for the personal use of seniority employees and their eligible dependants with coverage in the amount of $250 every 24 months and $90 or eye exams every twenty- four (24) months. Note: All prescription Safety Glasses purchased must comply with the A.N.S.I./C.S.A. standards and contain side xxxxxxx. DENTAL COVERAGE The Company will provide a dental plan. Coverage will be mandatory unless proof is provided that the employee is covered under spousal plan. Employee’s contribution to the dental plan will remain at the current rates for the term of this agreement. SKILLED TRADES LICENCE REIMBURSEMENT The Company will reimburse Stationary Engineers for license they require in the performance of their duties. The Stationary Engineers will be required to provide a copy of their license and proof of payment for reimbursement. EAP The Company to assume the cost of EAP for employees and dependants. CANADA SAVINGS BONDS The Company will offer the Canada Savings payroll program to all employees. LETTERS OF UNDERSTANDING
Eligibility and Service. A. Effective September 1, 2000, an Employee shall be eligible to participate in the Plan on the Entry Date coinciding with or next following the date the Employee satisfies the following eligibility requirements:
1. completion of three (3) Consecutive Months of Service. As used herein, a month of service means a calendar month during which an employee completes at least 100 hours of service.
2. Notwithstanding the foregoing, any employee who completes at least 1,000 hours of service in any eligibility computation period, as defined in Section 2.02 of the Basic Plan Document, shall be eligible to participate in the Plan.
B. Prior to September 1, 2000, an Employee was eligible to participate in the Plan on the Entry Date coinciding with or next following the completion of one (1) Year of Service.
C. Effective for Plan Years beginning after December 31, 2001, Entry Dates shall occur on the first day of each calendar month.
D. Effective for Plan Years beginning prior to January 1, 2002, Entry Dates were September 1, December 1, March 1 and June 1.
E. Hours of Service shall be actual Hours of Service determined pursuant to Plan Section 1.33(a)-(f).
F. Years of Service with the Employer shall be determined under the 1,000 Hours of Service Method pursuant to Plan Section 1.74(a).
G. Breaks-in-Service shall have the meaning set forth in Section 1.09(a) of the Plan.
H. All Years of Service with the Employer shall be credited for purposes of determining eligibility to participate in the Plan and for purposes of vesting under the Plan.
I. Notwithstanding the foregoing or any other term or provision contained in this Adoption Agreement or the Basic Plan Document, Special Project Employees shall not be eligible or permitted to participate in the Plan. As used herein, the term “Special Project Employee” is a person who is hired for the purpose of participating or otherwise assisting in a particular, discrete project which is anticipated to be completed in less than one (1) year. Notwithstanding the foregoing exclusion, any employee, including a Special Project Employee, who completes 1,000 hours of service in any eligibility computation period, as defined in Section 2.02 of the Basic Plan Document, shall be eligible to participate in the Plan.
Eligibility and Service. A. An Employee shall be eligible to participate in the Plan on the Entry Date which next follows his completion of six full months of Service if such Employee is covered by a collective bargaining agreement which provides for participation in the Plan.
Eligibility and Service. A. A Salaried Employee shall be eligible to participate in the Plan on the Entry Date coincident with or next following their date of hire.
B. An Hourly Employee shall be eligible to participate in the Plan on the Entry Date coincident with or next following 60 days after their date of hire.
C. Participants who were employees of Champion International Corporation on May 14, 1999, shall be credited under this Plan for Years of Service with Champion International Corporation for the purpose of Eligibility.
D. Entry dates:
1. Shall occur on an Employee’s date of hire for salaried Employees.
2. Shall occur 60 days following an Employee’s date of hire for hourly Employees.
E. Years of Service shall be determined under the 1,000 Hour of Service Method, pursuant to Plan Section 1.74(a). Hours of Service shall be determined based on actual hours worked, pursuant to Plan Section 1.33(a) - (f).
F. Pursuant to Section 2.06 of the Plan document, Employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement who shall be eligible to participate in the Plan are specified in Appendix A.
G. Participants who were employees of Westvaco Corporation on April 11, 2000, shall be credited under this Plan for Years of Service with Westvaco Corporation for purposes of eligibility, and such Service shall be credited as of the date an Employee was first credited with one (1) Hour of Service with Westvaco Corporation.
