Employee Assistance Fund. 24.01 The Employer agrees to pay the following amounts into an Employee Assistance Fund, with eligibility guidelines to be determined by the J.C.C. Any unused funds will be carried over and added to the next year’s fund: September 2013 - August 2014: one hundred forty thousand dollars ($140,000) September 2014 - August 2015: one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) September 2015 - August 2016: one hundred sixty thousand dollars ($160,000) The following items (a) through (e) as covered by the Fund will be administered by a mutually agreed third party vendor. The costs of administration will be borne by the fund:
Employee Assistance Fund. 30.01 Effective September 1, 2022 the University agrees to pay $22,500 on an annual basis into an Employee Assistance Fund, with eligibility guidelines to be determined by a Joint Union Management Committee. Any unused funds will be carried over and added to the next year’s fund. The Union shall administer the Fund and shall report to the Employer at the conclusion of each year as to how the funds were distributed. The following items shall be covered by the Fund:

It is understood that the foregoing four (4) cents is comprised of two (2) cents of employer contributions and two (2) cents of employee contributions and will be reflected on the current schedule of rates. Eligibility Rules • Members must be in good standing with the union at the time the request for assistance is made. • The person requiring said assistance must sign a document, from the fund administrator, stating that they will provide a certificate of completion or the money will be reimbursed to the fund if they do not complete the program. Note: This clause does not apply to Central (Appendix C)

Employee Assistance Fund. The Company will to collect from the pay of each employee an annual deduction of as of June, and will remit the total together with a matching amount to the fund. The fund will be jointly administered by the Company and the Union. Where the fund reaches a total of or more, the above noted contributions will cease and resume again when the fund reaches a total of Retraining Employees are encouraged to improve their skills and qualifications so as to place themselves in a position to fit themselves for the future such that they may be considered for vacancies at higher levels. Where an employee undertakes an evening or correspondence course which, in the opinion of Management, is likely to increase the employee’s value to the Company, the individual will on successful completion be reimbursed for or of the cost of tuition and required textbooks.
Employee Assistance Fund. The Company will make a contribution of one (I$ce)nt per hour to the Employee Assistance Fund. Contributions to this fund will be made against those hours: actually worked by an employee; on statutory holidays recognized by our Collective Agreement for which wages are payable and; for which wages are payable during an employee's annual vacation based on a maximum of forty (40) hours per week of vacation entitlement. The Company's contribution to the above fund will be made on a straight time basis. The Employee Assistance Fund will be jointly trusteed. The Company agrees to make contributions to the Employee Assistance Fund, over and above the one cent per hour provided by the Company in this Letter of Intent (2). This letter will not be in effect as long as the Company continues to provide a national program. LETTER OF INTENT (3)
