Employee Assistance Fund. 24.1 The Employer agrees to pay the following amounts into an Employee Assistance Fund, with eligibility guidelines to be determined by the J.C.C. Any unused funds will be carried over and added to the next year’s fund: September 2016 - August 2017: one hundred sixty thousand dollars ($160,000) September 2017 - August 2018: one hundred sixty-five thousand dollars ($165,000) September 2018 - August 2019: one hundred seventy thousand dollars ($170,000) The following items (a) through (e) as covered by the Fund will be administered by a mutually agreed third party vendor. The costs of administration will be borne by the fund: (a) Child-care costs in order to perform their duties; and/or (b) Eye-care costs where the Employee does not have access to vision care under a health insurance plan; and/or (c) Dental costs where the employee does not have access to coverage under an existing dental plan, or where the costs exceed the coverage; and/or (d) Physiotherapy costs where the employee does not have access to coverage under an existing health plan, or where the costs exceed the coverage; and/or (e) Chiropractic costs where the employee does not have access to coverage under an existing plan, or where the costs exceed the coverage. The following items (f) through (h) as covered by the Fund will be administered by the J.C.C.: (f) Assistance with UHIP premium costs; and/or (g) A TA advance in the first month of every term for which they hold a TA position. Employees shall have access to seven hundred fifty dollars ($750) interest free with a repayment plan in which four hundred dollars ($400) is deducted from the first pay period of the academic year and one hundred seventy-five dollars ($175) is deducted in each of the following two (2) pay periods. (h) Emergency loans.
Employee Assistance Fund. 30.01 Effective September 1, 2022 the University agrees to pay $22,500 on an annual basis into an Employee Assistance Fund, with eligibility guidelines to be determined by a Joint Union Management Committee. Any unused funds will be carried over and added to the next year’s fund. The Union shall administer the Fund and shall report to the Employer at the conclusion of each year as to how the funds were distributed. The following items shall be covered by the Fund:

The following items (h) through (j) as covered by the Fund will be administered by the JCAA: (h) Assistance with UHIP premium costs; and/or (i) A salary advance on TA pay in the amount of seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750), interest free, in the first month of every term in which they hold a TA position. The salary advance will be recovered by deducting two hundred fifty dollars ($250) from the three (3) subsequent pay periods; and/or (j) Emergency loans.
Employee Assistance Fund. 29.1 Employers shall submit four (4) cents for each hour worked for all employees, probationary and regular, to a trust fund for the treatment of members and their dependants for alcohol and drug rehabilitation at approved facilities, to be administered by the NDT Industry Health Benefits & Pension Trustees. It is the intention of the plan to provide the lifetime maximum coverage up to $15,000.00; however, the trustees have the ability to adjust coverage based on experience rate. It is understood that the foregoing four (4) cents is comprised of two (2) cents of employer contributions and two (2) cents of employee contributions and will be reflected on the current schedule of rates. Eligibility Rules  Members must be in good standing with the union at the time the request for assistance is made.  The person requiring said assistance must sign a document, from the fund administrator, stating that they will provide a certificate of completion or the money will be reimbursed to the fund if they do not complete the program. 29.2 HELMETS TO HARDHATS The employer and employee will each pay $0.01 cents per hour worked to a fund entitled “Helmets to Hardhats”. The total of $0.02 will be added to the monthly remittances included in the training fund portion of the employer remittance

Employee Assistance Fund. Emergency hardship or a qualified disaster can happen unexpectedly to anyone. To support our people in a time of need, the League of Conservations Voters Education Fund (“LCVEF”) established the League of Conservation Voters (“LCV”) and LCVEF Employee Assistance Fund (collectively “LCVEF Employee Assistance Fund”). When financial hardships arise, the LCVEF Employee Assistance Fund helps LCV and LCVEF employees and provides a way for staff to help one another. The goal of the LCVEF Employee Assistance Fund, supported by monetary donations from employees, with matching contributions by the Organization - up to a maximum of $10,000 per year - is to provide short- term financial assistance to LCV and LCVEF employees who have been affected by an emergency hardship or a qualified disaster. The Organization shall maintain its “LCVEF Employee Assistance Fund” policy or a substantially equivalent policy to the one in effect at the time of the signing of this Agreement, unless substantive changes are otherwise agreed to by the Organization and the Union.
