Employees with Continuing Appointments. Within the 52 week period, the University provides a maximum of 26 weeks of paid leave consisting of: • 12 weeks paid maternity leave; and • 14 weeks paid primary care giver’s leave. Employees employed on a part-time basis within the 12 months preceding or at the date of commencement of leave, will be entitled to paid leave calculated on a pro-rata basis based on the average of weekly hours worked in the 12 months preceding the date of commencement of the leave.

  • Continuing Appointments A Continuing appointment signifies the right of a Member to continuous employment that may be terminated only through the mechanisms provided in Article 8.

  • Continuing Appointment A continuing appointment shall continue until retirement or until otherwise terminated pursuant to this Agreement.

  • Term Appointments 16.3.4.1 A Term appointment carries no implication of renewal or continuation beyond the contractually limited term. A person holding a Term appointment may apply for a Probationary or Continuing appointment if such a position is available.

A visiting appointment may be offered in single or multi-year appointments not to exceed a total of four (4) consecutive years.

  • Acting Appointments If an Employer appoints a Teacher to act in a promotion position for ten or more consecutive school days, the Employer must pay the Teacher the rate prescribed for that position.

  • Probationary Appointments 22C.08 The duration of a probationary appointment for persons appointed after the signing of this Collective Agreement shall be four (4) years, unless a shorter period was stipulated in the letter of appointment.

  • Initial Appointments The Company appoints the Trustee as the initial Paying Agent, the initial Registrar and the initial Conversion Agent.
