d) End hauling waste material to stable locations that do not have potential to deliver sediment to watercourses
e) Construction of rolling dips, critical dips, and waterbars
f) Mulching including hydro-mulching
g) Revegetating disturbed surfaces as soon as practical
h) Slash packing
2. Where activities are conducted in close proximity to watercourses, Green Diamond shall use additional erosion control protection measures to trap sediment and minimize its entry into the watercourse. Slash filter windrows, silt fences, straw wattles, mulching and/or straw bale check dams shall be used to control runoff over fill slopes and along concentrated runoff flow paths, on an as-needed basis.
3. All watercourse crossings and cross drains shall be installed and functional prior to October 15th, or prior to the end of an “unseasonably dry fall”.
4. By October 15th, all waterbars, rolling dips, straw mulching and grass seeding associated with road and landing construction shall be completed in order to minimize suspended or mobilized sediment delivery to a watercourse.
5. Prior to the beginning of the first winter period following construction, Green Diamond shall seed all new cut and fill slopes on roads constructed within an RMZ or EEZ of a Class I, II, or III watercourse at a rate of at least 30 pounds per acre and mulched to a depth of at least two inches (before settling) with 90% surface coverage.
6. In Coho Planning Watersheds within the AHCP planning area for both new road construction and existing road maintenance in areas where existing road bank cuts have exhibited failures and have the potential to deliver to a watercourse, Green Diamond shall implement the following measures to the extent feasible to prevent sediment discharges to watercourses: hydrologically disconnecting the bank cut discharge from watercourses, buttressing, or other measures and by installing and maintaining effective erosion control materials.
7. All exposed areas associated with encroachment work at crossings shall be seeded at a rate of at least 30 pounds per acre and mulched to a depth of at least two inches (before settling) with 90% s...
EROSION CONTROL MEASURES. 1. EROSION CONTROL MEASURES. Permittee shall utilize erosion control measures throughout all phases of operation where sediment runoff from exposed slopes threatens to enter a river, stream, or lake. Furthermore, any type of erosion control shall be weed-free. Permittee shall stabilize all exposed/disturbed areas within the Project site to the greatest extent possible. Permittee or Designated Representative shall monitor erosion control measures during and after each storm event and repair and/or replace ineffective measures immediately. Permittee shall make modifications, repairs and improvements to erosion control measures whenever it is needed. The Permittee or Designated Representative shall monitor instream turbidity levels downstream during Project activities and shall adhere to those specifications for turbidity set forth by the Regional Water Quality Control Board’s Conditional Waiver of Waste Discharge Requirements issued for this Project.
EROSION CONTROL MEASURES. 1. The Developer shall cause all grading, excavation, open cuts, side slopes and other land surface disturbances to be so seeded and mulched, sodded or otherwise protected that erosion, siltation, sedimentation and washing are prevented in accordance with the plans and specifications reviewed and approved by the Public Works & Development Director, the State of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and Army Corps of Engineers, if applicable.
2. Construct, install, furnish and provide without cost to City, a complete system of Erosion Control Devices or measures in specified areas of the Development, on-site and off-site, in accordance with the Erosion Control Plan as approved by the Public Works & Development Director or his designee and Public Works & Safety Committee and in accordance with the plans and specifications on file in the Public Works & Development Department.
3. Install silt fencing in conformance with the approved Erosion Control Plan prior to the grading and construction work. Such fences shall be maintained by the Developer until such time as vegetative cover is established in the Development. Install mulching and seeding of all disturbed areas to comply with Municipal Code Chapter 162.
EROSION CONTROL MEASURES. (i) Developer shall, at Developer’s expense, submit to the City, an application for an Erosion Control Permit and an Erosion Control Plan (the “Erosion Control Plan”) in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Code. No construction or grading shall begin until the City issues said permit.
(ii) Developer shall, at Developer’s expense, construct, install, furnish and provide a complete system of erosion control devices or measures in specified areas of the Project, as approved by the City Engineer and the Building Inspection Department in accordance with the Municipal Code, the approved Erosion Control Plan, and all applicable state, county, and local requirements (collectively “Erosion Control Devices”).
