Exclusive Representative Leave. The Exclusive Representative shall be credited with six days during the two-year Agreement term, with no more than five days to be used in any one year. The number of days shall not accumulate from one two-year Agreement term to another. The teachers who are officers or agents of the Exclusive Representative may use these days, with pay. Written request for such leave days shall be made through the president of the Exclusive Representative. The Exclusive Representative agrees to notify the Superintendent in writing no less than 48 hours prior to the date of intended use of such days. The Exclusive Representative will be responsible for reimbursing the School District all costs associated with hiring a substitute for a teacher taking this leave.
Exclusive Representative Leave. The exclusive representative shall be granted up to twelve (12) days of paid exclusive representative leave per school year, non-accumulative, to attend meetings or otherwise conduct exclusive representative business. Exclusive Representative leave for negotiations and/or mediation sessions with the District shall not be deducted from the twelve (12) total exclusive representative leave days. The exclusive representative shall reimburse the School District 100% of the cost of a substitute teacher for each day of exclusive representative leave that is used, if one is hired. The exclusive representative agrees to notify the teacher’s immediate supervisor and the Human Resources Office by email at least one week prior to the use of any exclusive representative leave. The School District will submit an invoice to the exclusive representative for the cost of the substitute teachers.
Exclusive Representative Leave. The School District shall afford reasonable time off to elected officers or appointed representatives of the exclusive representative for the purpose of conducting the duties of the exclusive representative and must, upon written request, provide for leaves of absence to elected or appointed officials of the exclusive representative. Such leave shall be without pay.
Exclusive Representative Leave. 9.5.1 The School Board recognizes that pursuant to MS § 179A.07, Subd. 6, of the PELRA, as amended in 1973, a public employer must afford reasonable time off to elected officers or appointed officials of the Exclusive Representative.
Exclusive Representative Leave. At the beginning of each school year, the Exclusive Representative shall be credited with three (3) unpaid days to be used at the discretion of the Exclusive Representative. The Exclusive Representative shall also be credited with an additional three (3) unpaid days to be used by the Exclusive Representative for mediation and arbitration sessions related to the negotiations process. The Exclusive Representative agrees to notify the Superintendent at least two (2) working days in advance of the intended use of this leave, except in emergencies.
Exclusive Representative Leave. Each school year, the Exclusive Representative shall be given 8 days leave to be used by the officers or Exclusive Representative appointed individuals for the purpose of conducting LSHEA duties including contract negotiations. Individuals making use of such leave time shall notify their building administrator before taking such leave and preferably 48 hours in advance of time away from the classroom. In the event that less than a complete day is used, the Exclusive Representative will only be charged with only time used. In the event that a substitute teacher is required, the Exclusive Representative will pay substitute costs. Insofar as possible, the exclusive representative will schedule meetings and conduct its business outside of the basic day as defined in Article XIII Hours of Service.
Exclusive Representative Leave. Time off for elected officers and/or appointed representative of the exclusive representative is allowed for up to a total of six (6) days for conducting the duties of the exclusive representative; the substitutes shall be paid for by the exclusive representative. In the event appointed representatives of the exclusive representative must be present for negotiations, mediation, or arbitration, no leave time will be assessed, no pay deducted, but substitute pay will be paid by the exclusive representative. The exclusive representative agrees to notify the Superintendent at least two
Exclusive Representative Leave. At the beginning of every school year, the Exclusive Representative shall be credited six (6) days with pay to be used by teachers who are elected officers or appointed representatives of the Exclusive Representative to conduct duties of the Exclusive Representative. Such use shall be at the discretion of the Exclusive Representative. The Exclusive Representative agrees to notify the School District at least 48 hours prior to the date for intended use of said leave. The Exclusive Representative shall reimburse the School District for the cost of those teachers using such leave in excess of these six days. The School District shall pay substitute teachers when such leave is used.
Exclusive Representative Leave. 6 days of Exclusive Representative leave shall be 27 granted to the Exclusive Representative during the term of this Agreement. For those days that are used in 28 negotiations, mediation, and arbitration, the regular cost of a substitute shall be reimbursed to the School 29 District by the Exclusive Representative, whether or not used. For days taken for other purposes of the 30 Exclusive Representative, up to 6, no loss of leave or pay shall be incurred. Any days used by the Exclusive 31 Representative in excess of 6, during the term of this Agreement, shall be without pay.
Exclusive Representative Leave. At the beginning of every school year, the exclusive representative shall be credited with 10 days, non-accumulative, without salary deduction, to be used by teachers who are officers or agents of the exclusive representative. Such use will be at the discretion of the exclusive representative. The exclusive representative must notify the appropriate building principals in writing at least 5 calendar days prior to the intended use of said leave. The exclusive representative will try to avoid situations in which more than 2 people will be absent from any single building at the same time for purposes of this leave. Consideration will be given to emergency situations subject to written approval of the Superintendent.
