Extended Breaks. It is important to note that the safety of our employees is the most important issue and there may be circumstances where a nine (9) hour rest break may not be available or sufficient. Where a nine (9) hour break is insufficient due to fatigue, the employee may be provided with a longer break to ensure compliance with Ergon Energy’s fatigue guideline, as determined by the supervisor. If a break or longer break is taken and it goes into the normal starting time of the employee, the employee will not suffer a reduction in their ordinary pay for that period. The arrangements outlined above also apply when overtime is worked on a Sunday, a Public Holiday or an RDO prior to a rostered work-day.
Extended Breaks. Extended College breaks are periods of days during the regular work year (above) in which classes and other Faculty activities are canceled. Facilities may close or operate on a modified schedule during extended school breaks. Faculty cannot be compelled to work during: • Winter Break - December 24 through New Year’s Holiday • Spring Break - Five (5) consecutive workdays in March determined by the CollegeSummer Break - End of spring semester through first day of fall semester (defined above)

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Coffee Breaks The Company will provide two (2) fifteen (15) minute coffee breaks during each work day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

  • Extended Leaves Extended leaves of absence of at least three (3) but not more than five (5) years may be granted in accordance with Minnesota Statutes § 136F.43. Notwithstanding any other section of this Agreement, retention and accrual of all rights and benefits for faculty on extended leave shall be governed by Minnesota Statutes § 136F.43. Faculty members shall be returned to the unit in accordance with Article 29, Section B, Subd. 1, and shall be returned to the salary schedule at the step at which they were placed when they left the unit, with accommodation for general increases in the indicated step. If the faculty member’s service to the university in the year the faculty member left the unit qualified for an increase in the succeeding year, then the faculty member shall be entitled to that increase upon return to the unit. Seniority shall not accrue during the years faculty members are on extended leave.

  • Lunch Break Each Teacher shall receive each day an uninterrupted and continuous period of not less than forty (40) minutes for lunch, free from supervisory, teaching or other assigned duties (reference: Regulation 298.s. 3, Daily Sessions).

  • Extended Hours Depending upon local service capabilities, available extended hour plans include 5-, 6-, and 7-day, 8-, 16-, and 24-hour options at additional cost. Alaris will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide Service outside of Agreement Hours as shown below. Any such service performed will be billed at prevailing Alaris Per Call Overtime rates.

  • Extended Leave Extended leaves of absence of at least three (3) but not more than five (5) years may be granted in accordance with Minnesota law. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, retention and accrual of all rights and benefits for ASF Members on extended leave shall be governed by Minnesota Statute Section 136F.43.

  • Tea Breaks (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10 minute tea break in each four hours worked at a time to be agreed between the employee and employer.

  • Lunch and Break Periods 280. At the request of the Union or the City, City departments will meet and confer regarding the scheduling of break and lunch periods for unit members.
