Extended Care. An Employee may be required to provide support to clients as a live-in carer providing attendance over a continuous 24 hour period. An eight (8) hour sleep period is expected in such circumstances. A Live in Regional Carer will be afforded a degree of privacy during this period and will not be required to continually engage with the client but, rather, remain available in the event that the client requires attendance from time to time. Extended Care. Date: Parent/ Guardian Initials: Children enrolled in the full time program can attend anytime from 6:30am-6:00pm without incurring additional extended care charges. The part time program hours are from 8:30am-3pm. Extended Care occurs when a child is on the part time schedule, yet stays for additional time as needed for daycare. There is a 15 minute grace period before and after the part time schedule. Extended care charges are prorated by the minute for time clocked in before 8:15am and/or after 3:15pm for each day throughout the month. The time used is billed at $9 an hour. If a child is enrolled in a scheduled optional activity class, the child will not incur extended care charges during the scheduled time of the class but will immediately following the scheduled end time. For example, if a class is scheduled to end at 3:45pm and the child is not clocked out, extended care charges will begin at 3:46pm.

Extended Care. Effective the first day of April, the Hospital shall contribute, on behalf of each eligible employee, seventy five percent (75%) of the billed premium under the Extended Health Care Plan (Blue Cross plan) including hearing aids with a maximum of per person and vision care with a maximum of every twenty-four (24) months per insured person, and private duty nursing to a maximum of ninety (90) shifts of eight (8) hours per shift per person per year, (or its equivalent) provided the balance of the monthly premium is paid by employees through payroll deduction (subject to appropriate Union and Hospital recruitment). Extended Care. Extended care hours provide the opportunity for service members to balance the competing demands of family life with the military mission. This mandated SECNAV initiative extends the hours of operations to 14 hours per day, Monday- Friday, however the child care time for any child in care shall not exceed 12 hours per day. A command endorsement will be required for patrons utilizing extended care hours. This endorsement must come from the Commanding Officer or the Executive officer. Regularly enrolled children utilizing our programs during the extended hours of 0500-0600 and/or 1800-1900 will be required to make a reservation. Extended Care. Families who choose Extended Care are required to pay a $100 deposit. This deposit will be returned at the end of the year if there is no balance owed for Extended Care. Extended Care is invoiced the month following Extended Care attendance.
