Field Training Officer Compensation. Effective July 1, 2005, the pay for unit members assigned to Field Training Officer shall be five percent (5.0%) of the top salary step of rank.
Field Training Officer Compensation. Employees who are specifically assigned to work as a field training officer will receive one and one-half (1.5) hours of straight time compensation for each assigned shift.
Field Training Officer Compensation. Employees who are assigned a recruit and/or lateral officer and perform Field Training of such recruit and/or lateral officer for six hours or more in a single day will receive $50.00 per day. Employees who perform training less than six hours per day will receive no compensation, except as otherwise determined by the Department in its discretion.
Field Training Officer Compensation. Employees covered by this Agreement will receive a differential for all hours in which they serve as a Field Training Officer, with this differential to be paid biweekly. Effective the first full pay period beginning on or after July 1, 2012, the differential paid to Field Training Officers will be increased to six dollars ($6.00) per hour.
Field Training Officer Compensation. (A) Police Officers serving as Field Training Officers should receive additional compensation on days when in fact they are involved in the actual training of a new recruit officer.
(B) In order for Field Training Officers to be eligible for the additional compensation the following criteria must be met:
1. The Field Training Officer would have a recruit officer assigned for a majority of the day.
2. The officer must be serving as a Field Training Officer and complete Daily Observation Forms (DOR’s).
3. The Field Training Officer would receive two (2) hours compensation, per day, at straight rate in comp time.
4. The Field Training Officer will not receive the above compensation on any day that he is not performing direct FTO duties, ie: vacation day, sick day, training day, personal day, or day assigned to another division other than the Field Operations Division.
5. At the end of each month, an overtime slip will be prepared for each FTO and submitted to the payroll section for data entry through the normal overtime process.
Field Training Officer Compensation. Field Training Officer's will be compensated one (1) hour of overtime pay or compensatory time for completing a majority of a shift of training with a probationary officer.
Field Training Officer Compensation. All covered employees who are certified and designated by the Chief of Police to perform training exercises shall receive an additional $1,000.00 per fiscal year. This payment shall be paid to the employee in two equal payments of $500.00 (May 1st and November 1st). No more then two (2) trainers will be certified and designated by the Chief of Police or his designee within any given year.
Field Training Officer Compensation. A member who is designated by the Chief or designee as Field Training Officer (FTO) shall be paid one (1) additional hour for each eight hours of FTO work completed. FTO compensation shall be based upon the member’s regular hourly rate of pay. The additional one (1) hour of compensation shall be paid upon the completion of each eight (8) full hours of service as an FTO.
Field Training Officer Compensation. Each employee who is a Field Training Officer shall be paid one (1) hour of pay at the overtime rate for each shift the employee works as a Field Training Officer. This Section shall be effective July 1, 2005.
Field Training Officer Compensation. Employees working as Field Training Officers shall receive .66 hour of straight time pay or .66 hour accrued time for each 4 hour period so worked. This is inclusive of a daily FTO training assignment and/or the initial training (such as firearms and use of force) conducted upon hire of a new officer.
