FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION. A fire alarm system shall be established aboard the vessel with an activator in the Forward Weld Shop/Bow Thruster Room access, Forward Pump Room Mezzanine, Engine Room Main Deck at CCS and at each gangway. Each alarm activator and speaker shall be distinctive in sound so that the alarm can be heard clearly in every area where work is being performed throughout the vessel. A Provision shall be made stating when the alarm is sound, the fire control organization of the Contractor is notified. Within one (1) day of installation, the Contractor shall perform a fire alarm test in the presence of the COR and representatives of the vessel’s crew. Contractor shall at a minimum, schedule and perform weekly tests of the fire alarm system throughout the period of performance of this job order. The vessel’s fire main shall be supplied with shore water of sufficient pressure and volume to ensure all firefighting stations are fully operational at all times. Should any scheduled tasks preclude the use of the vessel’s fire system, the Contractor shall provide pressurized fire system connection points in affected areas. Contractor shall provide a minimum of five (5) charged fire lines at various locations on deck with hoses for immediate use. Contractor shall invite the local fire department to a fire prevention conference aboard the vessel no later than three (3) days after arrival. The purpose of this conference shall be to establish a liaison, review the fire protection plan, gain familiarization of the vessel, and establish firefighting procedures and responsibilities. Contractor’s fire protection plan shall consist of, but not be limited to:
FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION. A. State and municipal rules and regulations with respect to fire prevention, fire-resistant construction and fire protection shall be strictly adhered to and all work and facilities necessary therefore shall be provided and maintained by the Contractor in an approved manner.
FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION. The Principal Contractor must ensure that adequate fire equipment is provided in strategic places (that is, where there is a mobile distribution board, flammable liquids, pressure equipment, confined spaces, hot work). The Principal Contractor must ensure that such equipment is inspected by a competent person on a monthly basis and such inspections are recorded on a register. The Principal Contractor must ensure that all fire equipment is serviceable and person(s) have been professionally trained on how to use the equipment. A proof of such training must be provided prior commencement of construction work.
FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION. 46.1 The Contractor shall perform all Work in a fire-safe manner. He shall supply and maintain, on the site, adequate fire fighting equipment capable of extinguishing incipient fires. The Contractor shall comply with applicable Federal, local and State fire prevention regulations and where the regulations do not cover, with applicable parts of the National Fire Prevention Standard for "Safeguarding Building Construction Operations", (NFPA No. 241).
FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION. 3.21.1 Contractor is responsible for all cutting, fitting, or patching required to complete the Work or to make its parts fit together properly.

Provision shall be made to notify the Contractor’s fire control organization when the alarm is sounded. Fire alarm shall be installed and tested in the presence of the COR and Xxxxxx’s Crew within 24 hours of the vessel’s arrival at the Contractor’s shipyard. The Contractor shall perform subsequent, weekly tests of the fire alarm system demonstrating the system’s functionality for the duration the vessel is located at the Contractor’s shipyard. Fire protection service shall be provided for the duration the vessel is located at the Contractor’s shipyard. Services shall be capable of providing water at a minimum flow rate of 420 GPM, regulated to a pressure between 100 to 120 psi. Shore connections (2-1/2”) for fire protection service are located in two (2) places, P&S Upper Deck at Frame 65. Dry standpipe systems may be accepted, provided the proposed system is approved in writing by the COR. Contractor shall also provide a minimum of two (2) 2-1/2” charged fire hose lines on deck, each with 100’ of 1-1/2” hose. Location shall be the Forecastle Deck and Fantail. These hoses shall be maintained ready for immediate use. Should schedule work tasks preclude the use of the vessel’s fire system, the Contractor shall provide pressurized fire system connection points in affected areas. Contractor shall invite the local fire department to a fire prevention conference aboard the vessel no later than 72 hours after arrival at shipyard. This conference shall establish liaison, review the fire protection plan, gain familiarization of the vessel and to assist in establishing fire-fighting procedures and responsibilities. FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION. Contractor shall take adequate fire prevention and protection measures that are acceptable to Owner's Representative for the protection of its offices, buildings, WMM and Equipment. One water truck shall be equipped with water xxxxxx at all times during performance of the Work. Contractor shall supply and maintain necessary fire protection material and equipment, including portable fire extinguishers, in a manner acceptable to Owner's Representative. Contractor shall handle, use and dispose of gasoline, diesel fuel, benzene or any other flammable materials in accordance with good and safe practices and applicable Laws. All flammable liquids, paints, petroleum products and Materials of Environmental concern must be stored in approved locations and containers.
FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION. The Contractor and his or her employees shall comply with the AF base’s regulations and Air Force Occupational and Safety, and Health (AFOSH) Program, as applicable. A copy of these regulations will be made available by the COR POC at the post-award conference. The Contractor shall coordinate with the AF base fire department for hot permits (for welding or open flame operations), as required.

The Contractor shall develop a Fire Prevention 198 and Protection Plan that follows the guidelines established by Army Regulation (AR) 420-1, 199 Army Facilities Management; FLW Reg 420-2, Post Fire Regulation; and CDTF Standard 200 Operating Procedures. The written procedures shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer’s 201 Representative (COR) for review and Contracting Officer (KO) approval prior to expiration of 202 the Phase-in period. No subsequent changes to the approved procedures shall be effected until 203 approved by the Contracting Officer (KO). 204 205 C.1.3. QUALITY CONTROL 206
FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION. The Contractor shall ensure all contractor employees are trained in Fire Prevention and comply with the requirements stated in applicable DoDIs and in AR 420-90. Training consists, at a minimum, of the location and operation of fire alarms. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Picatinny Arsenal Fire Department (PAFD) and Safety Directorate for compliance with fire prevention procedures and additional training requirements. Installation fire prevention personnel may conduct periodic inspections for regulation compliance. Unauthorized burning of any material on the installation by the Contractor is prohibited. The contractor shall ensure Fire Prevention requirements are flowed down to subcontractors.
