Forfeiture of Seniority. 15-5.01 Except as otherwise stated in this Article, a Cabin Personnel shall be removed f rom the MSL and shall forfeit all rights at such time as:
a) They are no longer employed as a Cabin Personnel by the Company;
b) They are on layoff for a period greater than three (3) years;
c) They decline a recall opportunity, in accordance with Article 47 - Xxxxxx and Xxxxxx;
d) They neglect to answer a recall opportunity, in accordance with Article 47 - Xxxxxx and Recall.

Forfeiture of Seniority. 15-4.01 Except as otherwise stated in this Article, a Flight Attendant shall be removed from the MSL and shall forfeit all rights at such time as:
a) They are no longer employed as a Flight Attendant by the Company;
b) They are on layoff for a period greater than three (3) years;
c) They decline a recall opportunity, in accordance with Article 45 - Xxxxxx and Xxxxxx; or
d) They neglect to answer a recall opportunity, in accordance with Article 45 - Xxxxxx and Xxxxxx.
Forfeiture of Seniority. An Employee shall forfeit his seniority rights upon separation from services due to dismissal, layoff or retirement. Full seniority rights shall be reinstated provided that any employee, who has a break in service of more than one year, must successfully complete a retraining program prescribed and approved by the Chief of Police and at the Village's expense and under the following conditions:
a. An Employee is dismissed and later reinstated by a Court of competent jurisdiction.
b. An Employee is separated due to a layoff or reduction in force and is later reinstated under conditions provided in the Illinois Revised Statutes.
Forfeiture of Seniority. A bargaining unit member who returns to Newport School District after resigning their position shall forfeit any seniority gained during previous employment.

All seniority shall be forfeited and an employee or employee on returning to the Company shall be treated in all respects as a new employee if, He voluntarily quits his employment. He is discharged for just cause. He is discharged for being absent from work for ten consecutive work days without reasonable excuse for his absence. This is not to include an employee actively pursu- ing a claim under the Worker’s Compensation Act, Weekly Indemnity or U.K., providing the employee provides evidence to the Company within the specified ten days that he is pur- suing such claim and is unable to return to work. Following a leave of absence he fails to report to work or he fails to receive an extension following a leave of absence. After being instructed to report for work following a lay-off, he fails to do so within seven days (living in Nova Scotia); or fifteen days (living outside of Nova Scotia) of the mailing of a Registered Letter to his last known address on file at the Employment Office of the Company. There may be some cases where due to geographical location, etc., such as working aboard a ship and on having to give his present employer a specific period of notice before terminating his employment: then in cases the Union and Management by agreement will give the required time to report back. This shall be in writing, signed by both parties. If no agreement is reached on the extended time then the time limits set out above will apply. Any notification of a change of address must be addressed to the Employment Office of the Company, be in writing, and signed by the employee concerned. Department seniority shall be forfeited if at the time of discharge from the plant a man has less than five years such seniority, and the period between the date of discharge and the date of rehiring exceeds such seniority. Forfeiture of Seniority. Continuous employment shall be broken for any of the following reasons. If such continuous service is broken, the employee shall be considered a new employee for all purposes, if and when rehired:
a) Resignation or other voluntary termination of employment.
b) Discharge for just cause.
c) Absence of three (3) consecutive days without notice to the Employer. This will ordinarily be considered a voluntary quit.
d) Failure to return to work within ten (10) working days after the Employer gives the employee written notice to return to work, and failure to notify the Employer of their intentions to return to work within five (5) working days after such notice is given. Such notice shall be deemed to have been sufficiently given if sent to the employee by a reliable, documented, means to the last address furnished by the employee to management.
e) Xxxxxx without recall after a period of one (1) year from the date of layoff, or for a period equal to the employee's length of service, whichever is shorter.
f) Working during a leave of absence, except for work in conjunction with a leave for Union business.
g) Any absence beyond an authorized leave of absence.
