Governing Committee a. A committee shall be established to act as the governing body for the administration of the sick leave bank. Said committee shall consist of two employees named by the Association and two administrators named by the Superintendent. In the event of tie in votes, the Superintendent shall cast the deciding vote.
Governing Committee. The Governing Committee shall be composed of five members:
1. Three unit members appointed by PSEA.
2. Two administrators. The duties of the Governing Committee shall include the following:
1. To approve requests for withdrawal from the sick leave bank.
2. To make any additionally necessary governing decisions relative to the operation of the sick bank. Governing decisions will be made by consensus, where possible. Where a consensus decision cannot be reached, the governing decisions will be made on the basis of a majority vote; four votes will constitute a majority.
Governing Committee. A Governing Committee, comprised of elected officials serving ex officio and individuals representing those with Lived Experience, shall be formed to act as the administrator for the Authority and for the purposes of performing the duties set out in this Agreement. In selecting Members to serve on the Governing Committee, the blocs referenced in Section 1.a. of this Article VIII shall strive to reflect the racial and ethnic makeup of King County residents overall to ensure the inclusion of members of racial and ethnic groups disproportionately experiencing homelessness.
Governing Committee a. A Governing Committee for the Sick Leave Transfer Program shall be established made up of no more than 4 members appointed by UASF and 1 member appointed by the District.
b. The District representative shall be responsible for processing applications and presenting them to the Governing Committee.
c. The Committee shall determine by vote the eligibility of the applicant. The District representative shall vote only in the case of ties.
d. The decision of the Governing Committee may be appealed within 10 days of notification of denial. The appeal shall be to the Executive Board of the UASF who will render a decision within 10 days of the receipt of the appeal.
Governing Committee. The Governing Committee for the Sick Leave Bank will consist of the Norridge Education Association’s Executive Committee Members.
Governing Committee a. The catastrophic Sick Leave Bank Committee (thereafter referred to as the “Committee”) shall be established. It shall be made up of no more than 4 members (certificated and classified representatives) appointed by UESF and 1 member appointed by the District.
b. The District representative shall be responsible for processing completed applications and presenting them to the Committee.
c. The Committee shall determine which employees of those medically certified to have a catastrophic illness or injury shall be entitled to receive leave from the Bank. The District representative shall vote only in the case of ties.
d. The decision of the Committee may be appealed within 10 days of notification of denial. The appeal shall be to the Executive Board of the UESF which will consider a decision on the appeal at their next regularly scheduled meeting.
e. The District and UESF shall share in the cost of printing appropriate application and donation forms. Also, the District and UESF agree to review and evaluate the operation of the Bank at the end of each school year to assess the feasibility of its continued operation.
f. The District and UESF shall instruct their appointees to the Committee to make a good faith effort to maintain confidentiality regarding donations and utilization of the sick leave contemplated herein. However, there shall be no liability or recourse if said confidentiality is not maintained.
g. The members receiving Workers’ Compensation benefits for industrial illness or injury shall not be entitled to Bank benefits, as described herein.
h. The Committee may request that an applicant for Bank apply for permanent disability retirement in lieu of the leave provisions described herein.
Governing Committee. 1. Two teachers, elected by all member teacher's, and two administrators, appointed by the Board, shall act as the governing Committee in all matters that concern policies of use of the Sick Leave Bank.
2. Before granting the request, the committee must elicit affirmative answers to the following:
a. Is the employee listed as a current member of the bank?
b. Has the employee exhausted his/her personally accumulated sick leave?
c. Is the absence from work due to a catastrophic illness? (This program would not be used for short-term illness.)
Governing Committee. The Sick Leave Bank Committee (SLBC) shall consist of the three FEA members appointed by the Association’s President and two administrators appointed by the Superintendent. The district’s bookkeeper shall record all personal and sick leave days including the number of sick days employees submit to the SLB and the number of sick leave days used by an employee from the SLB. The SLB database will be maintained by the district. The information will be shared between the parties and the official copy will be housed at the district office.
Governing Committee. The Sick Leave Bank governing committee shall consist of the District bookkeeper and the President of PEA or his/her designee.
Governing Committee a) The Sick Leave Bank shall be managed by a Governing Committee. The committee shall have three (3) members named by the Union, one (1) member named by Local 2000, one (1) member named by the Administrators Association, and three (3) members named by the Superintendent.
b) The Governing Committee shall be responsible for the operation of the Sick Leave Bank and shall ensure that the Bank is operated in all respects in accordance with District policies. The Committee shall review and act on all applications for utilization of Sick Leave Bank days and shall make periodic recommendations to the Superintendent for supplemental rules, regulations, and policies of the Bank as the need becomes apparent.
c) The Committee shall meet during normal workday hours and shall elect its own officers from the membership of the Governing Committee. The committee shall meet monthly. Additional meetings may be scheduled on an emergency basis if the need arises.
