Group Leaders. Group Leaders shall be chosen by the College President or his/her designee whenever he/she deems it necessary. In the selection of a Group Leader, the College President or his/her designee will give weight to seniority in his/her choice. Group leaders shall be paid an additional five percent (5%) per year over and above their base salary.

Group Leaders. A group leader, designated by the Plant Manager or his/her designated representative, shall be paid $0.36 over his/her calculated job rate for the duration of the assignment. The designation to group leader will be made on the basis of seniority, provided the employee possesses suitable qualifications to perform the group leader function and that the regular job he/she performs is such that it allows him/her to perform the group leader function. No group leader shall hire, lay-off, suspend, discharge or exercise other discipline.

(b) Ensuring that the product being produced meets or exceeds all customer quality specifications. (c) Assisting the Supervisor in proper utilization of manpower and equipment. (d) Maintaining good housekeeping and instructing other employees in proper housekeeping practices.
Group Leaders. Group Leaders classification shall not be bid; however, the Company shall give full consideration to senior employees, when there are openings in the classification. Group Leaders will be assigned to areas of responsibility and direction by the Company. Such direction does not include activities such as required to: (a) hire, promote, demote, suspend, or discharge members of the group; (b) determine the schedules of hours, days and weeks during which members of the group shall work; (c) represent the Company in handling employee grievances; perform other general supervisory or management functions.
