Highlights of Achievements 2022-2023 Student & Campus Support Services • Exam Breakfasts were offered to engage with students studying or attending for exams. Sports Union • Wellbeing Wednesday at the Sports union. Wellbeing is celebrated on wednesdays during term time by sport clubs. Strathclyde Sport • Nutrition seminar on Eating for strength and endurance activities were delivered: 40 places were booked and 39 attended with 100% reporting they benefited. • ExHALE platform has been updated to improve user engagement. • Tree trails walk information was added along with regular upload of new monthly walk. Students’ engagement in the Step Count Challenge increased and we were awarded the Walk @ Work Award for all initiatives involving walking. • Various National Health Promotion campaigns along with signposting were promoted on Social media. • ‘Active Classes’ designed for those starting/returning to activity introduced and promoted. • Different membership options making activity more accessible including Multi Visit passes introduced. • Continued promotion of our Members Assurance for Eating & Exercise Disorders. • Participation in Strathclyde Sport referral scheme showed the following results: o Increase of 20% in overall WEBWMS score. o 14% increase in WEBWMS ‘feeling loved’ score. o 18% increase in WEBWMS ‘interested in new things’ score.
Healthy Lifestyle. 30.1 The Commission encourages its employees to consider healthy lifestyle activities as a means to develop and maintain work and life balance. The Commission will maintain its commitment to providing annual influenza injections for interested employees. In addition, financial support of up to $275 per financial year will be reimbursed for approved health and well-being activities subject to the Healthy Lifestyle Program Guidelines.
Healthy Lifestyle. 29.11.1 Council recognises the benefits that flow from the promotion of healthy lifestyles for both its employees as well as the organisation. In this regard employees are invited to participate in Council’s Health and Wellbeing Programs.
Healthy Lifestyle. The MDBA recognises the benefit to employees undertaking healthy lifestyle initiatives in their own time. Ongoing employees on 1 July each year, and non- ongoing employees with at least 6 months of continuous service as at 1 July each year, who have not taken more than six months leave without pay and submit a declaration to the MDBA about maintaining a healthy lifestyle will be paid $299 towards their expenses. The MDBA will: • provide employees with access to a health and wellbeing program; • make available annual influenza vaccinations for employees; and, • provide access for employees and their families to an Employee Assistance Program on a self-referral basis, up to six paid confidential and professional counselling sessions per financial year. Additional sessions may be approved by the Chief Executive.
Healthy Lifestyle. 31.15.1 The University will provide for participation in the healthy lifestyle program as conducted by the University. A staff member registered in the program shall be entitled to. up to two hours per week paid time off in lieu to participate in the program. This time may be added to a staff member's own time (eg lunchbreak) provided that not more than thirty minutes work time, unless otherwise agreed, is taken on any one day. Staff will not unreasonably be denied access to this program. For part time staff the provisions of this clause will apply on a pro-rata basis.

In support of promoting healthy lifestyles to employees, the GBRMPA will continue to encourage employees to acquire information and skills and take up opportunities to participate in activities to sustain a positive and healthy lifestyle. Management of ill or injured Employees
Healthy Lifestyle. An Employee is entitled to participate in approved healthy lifestyle activities. Access to such activities will not be unreasonably denied by the Line Manager. An Employee is entitled to up to a total of 2 hours per week paid time off to participate in the program. Not more than 30 minutes paid time off is to be taken on any 1 day, unless otherwise agreed to by the Line Manager. A Part-time Employee is entitled to paid time off on a proportionate basis of the Full-time entitlement. An Employee is entitled to choose to take the paid time off immediately before or after their normal work start-time, lunch break or work finish-time. The costs of using University facilities for the activities may be included in an individual salary package arrangement.
