WORK AND LIFE BALANCE. The Directorate is committed to providing employees with a work/life balance that recognises the family and other personal commitments of employees.
WORK AND LIFE BALANCE. 4.6.1. TIO is committed to providing employees with flexibility to assist them in balancing work and life commitments.
4.6.2. The following initiatives may be accessed by permanent TIO employees:
a) flexible working hours;
b) home-based work;
c) job-sharing;
d) part-time employment;
e) career breaks; and
f) part-year employment;
4.6.3. An employee may request flexible working arrangements relating to one of the following circumstances:
a) the employee is the parent, or has responsibility for the care, of a child who is of school age or younger;
b) the employee is a carer (within the meaning of the Carer Recognition Act 2010);
c) the employee has a disability;
d) the employee is 55 or older;
e) the employee is experiencing violence from a member of the employee’s family;
f) the employee provides care or support to a member of the employee’s immediate family, or a member of the employee’s household, who requires care or support because the member is experiencing violence from the member’s family.
4.6.4. General principles in relation to Work and Life Initiatives When considering applications from employees wishing to access the initiatives specified under clause 4.6.2, TIO must ensure that:
(a) its operational requirements are met and services to customers are not disrupted

WORK AND LIFE BALANCE. The Council is committed to work-life balance in the workplace and will initiate meeting times during ordinary working hours, where possible, based on the operational needs of the Council.
WORK AND LIFE BALANCE. 63 FIELD WORK
64.1 AIMS recognises the importance of managing role expectations inclusive of field work and time for appropriate recuperation, as part of an appropriate balance between employees’ personal and working lives. AIMS acknowledges that there is a shared responsibility for AIMS, supervisors and employees to manage workloads and timing and duration of field work to achieve this balance.
64.2 AIMS will endeavour to provide clarity relating to the amount of field work that may be required in developing position descriptions. Supervisors and employees should also discuss and document field work requirements as part of annual performance plans.
WORK AND LIFE BALANCE. 16.1 The Employer is supportive of balancing family responsibilities and personal life with work
16.2 The parties recognise the needs of employees with family responsibilities and their right to address those responsibilities without conflict between their employment and their family responsibilities. The parties can enter into negotiations to determine and implement any measures which may assist employees with balancing work and life. These may include but not be limited to; job sharing, flexible working hours, compressed hours, personal and carers leave, purchase leave and parental leave and voluntary reduction of full time employment to part time employment.
16.3 Mutually agreed flexible work arrangements will be formally documented and signed by both parties.
WORK AND LIFE BALANCE. 60.1 CIT is committed to the concept of work and life balance and recognises the importance of teachers balancing work and personal life.
60.2 All teachers have commitments outside the workplace. These commitments may relate to family, to the community and to general health and wellbeing. Given the diverse nature of the workforce in the ACTPS, it is recognised that teachers have different needs at different times.
60.3 CIT recognises the need to provide sufficient support and flexibility at the workplace to assist teachers in achieving work and life balance. While family friendly initiatives are important aspects of work and life balance, it is also important that all teachers, at all stages in the teachers’ working lives, are supported through this Agreement.
