Health and Wellness. The City will reimburse full-time employees a maximum of fifty dollars ($50) per month for expenses associated with health and wellness programs. This reimbursement may be used for recurring monthly fees associated with gym or health club memberships, fitness classes (such as yoga, Zumba, or similar), personal trainers, weight loss programs (such as Weight Watchers, Xxxxx Xxxxx, or similar), or other health and wellness related expenses. Requests for reimbursement of monthly fees for health and wellness related expenses must be submitted in writing and accompanied by receipts and proof of monthly membership within forty-five (45) days of the most recent monthly payment made by the employee. Following receipt and approval of the employee’s request, the employee shall receive the health and wellness reimbursement on a monthly basis until the employee indicates they have cancelled the monthly health and wellness related payments. The employee will be expected to inform the City in a timely manner that they have ceased making recurring monthly payments for health and wellness related expenses. Timely notice under this section of the MOU shall mean no more than thirty (30) days from when the employee cancels their recurring monthly health and wellness related fees. For one-time health and wellness expenses, requests must be made in writing within forty-five (45) days of payment by the employee and submitted with receipts. Expenses reimbursed under this program are subject to the approval of the Director of Human Resources and the City Manager. The City’s decision to reimburse an employee is not subject to dispute as provided for in Section 12.00 in this MOU. Although participants may not be required to produce monthly receipts for health and wellness payments made on a recurring monthly basis, the City, at the discretion of the Human Resources Director, or designee, may at any time request receipts to verify monthly payments have been continuous and the participating employee remains eligible to receive the health and wellness benefit in accordance with this section of the MOU.
Health and Wellness. Certified staff members and immediate family members will be able to use the swimming facility at no cost. Certified staff members will be able to utilize any pre-approved fitness facility. Participants must use the facility at least 12 times a month to be reimbursed. Reimbursements will be made quarterly upon completion of the necessary paperwork. There is a $45 per person monthly cap. There is a $5,000 yearly cap on this benefit. Specific details concerning the procedure for usage of the above facilities by certified staff will be set by district administration and a representative of GCTA.
Health and Wellness. The District recognizes the benefit of a strong and active workforce through the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. The District will offer to its employees, their dependents (children and spouse) and bargaining unit retirees, one hundred percent (100%) off all public drop in sessions (open gym, weight room, public skate, public swim), economy tickets, memberships and all fitness programs offered by the Kitimat Leisure Services Department.
Health and Wellness. Section 20.01. The College may offer incentives to eligible bargaining unit participants who voluntarily participate in college-wide health and wellness programming. Such participants could receive incentives including but not limited to a discount in health care premium costs.
Health and Wellness. The employer wishes to provide a healthy family-friendly workplace and develop a relationship with staff that is holistic. This is a dynamic and developing relationship that will be the subject of ongoing discussion during this agreement. Time off for rest, sport, recreation, family/whanau, involvement in community/iwi groups, etc is vital for minimising stress, which enhances work performance. Taking annual leave is important and the team leader needs to ensure that employees are able to, and encouraged to take leave owing, and to ensure that the workloads are creatively and effectively managed while employees are on leave.
Health and Wellness. 1.10.1.1. The School Division and the Association agree to create and maintain a Health and Wellness Committee that will operate in accordance with the Terms of Reference agreed to by the committee.
Health and Wellness. House Officers may schedule routine medical and dental appointments throughout their residency and obtain care for urgent medical/dental issues that may arise. House Officers shall schedule such appointments at times that are least disruptive to their scheduled duties, but shall be afforded adequate time to attend such appointments if this is not practicable. The Hospital and the Union agree to collaborate on developing a list of both internal and external resources for residents in crisis.
Health and Wellness. The parties shall establish a joint union/management health and wellness committee.
Health and Wellness the Board and Association agree to create and maintain a Health and Wellness Committee that will operate in accordance with the Terms of Reference agreed to by the Committee.
Health and Wellness. A. The Employer and the Union encourage bargaining unit employees to participate in USDA-wide Health and Wellness Programs and initiatives which encourage active and healthy lifestyles (e.g., health care screenings, health fairs, on-site locker rooms, showers, exercise equipment and facilities). When the Employer and/or USDA permits the use of duty time and/or excused absence so employees may participate in an officially sponsored and sanctioned Health and Wellness Program or initiative, the Employer shall permit interested employees to participate on duty time and/or excused absence.
B. The Employer shall continue supporting employees’ ready access to, and use of, the fitness and health facilities and programs currently operated and offered on- site, and at any work site where bargaining unit employees are located.
C. The Employer’s support also includes the following:
1. The Employer shall, consistent with budget and business needs, approve requests from employees for up to two and one half (2-½) hours per week of time (i.e., use of flexible work hours, credit hours, or accrued leave) in order to exercise. If the Department issues guidance authorizing duty time and/or excused absence in order to exercise, such approvals shall be for duty time and/or excused absence.
2. If the Department issues guidance under which the Employer is authorized to reimburse employees for any portion of their dues and/or fees for membership in and use of the on-site fitness facilities and programs, the Employer shall reimburse employees up to 50% of the total paid during a Fiscal Year (“FY”) at least 30 days prior to the end of that FY, subject to the following;
a. Availability of funds; and
b. Employee uses the facility at least 90 minutes weekly; and
c. Reimbursement requests are received at least 60 days prior to the end of that FY. Note: the amount of the “dues and/or fees for membership in and use of the on-site fitness facilities and programs” (for which employees may be reimbursed a portion) shall be based on the total of dues and fees for basic membership at the site where most bargaining unit employees are located.
3. The Union reserves the right to bargain to the fullest extent permitted by law and Executive Order over fitness and health facilities and programs if bargaining unit members’ access to such facilities and programs changes.
