Training/Education. The Employer shall provide an annual infection control/safety update on paid time for all employees in accordance with applicable statutes and regulations. Workplace violence and personal safety training will be mandatory for all staff in the New Staff Orientation. Employees are also encouraged to take advantage of ongoing training opportunities available in this area. Other training related to general and personal safety will be made available as appropriate to the clinical setting, general environment, and needs of the patient population and the staff. Reasonable requests for such training will be considered.
Training/Education. USBGFS shall develop standard training materials and perform all pertinent systems and procedural training for the Funds' mutual fund service, support and operations personnel.
Training/Education. The University and Union should work together to create and implement safety orientation programs for new and transferring employees. Timely and appropriate training must be provided to accommodate changes in equipment or practice.
Training/Education. 19.01 The parties acknowledge that training is a dominant part of learning and maintaining the skills necessary in the fire service. The Training Division of Xxxxxxxx Fire Department is responsible to develop the training programs, oversee the training programs and to ensure that training is conducted by training instructors that are competent and skilled in the areas that they teach.
19.02 Whenever possible, volunteer firefighters shall provide the general instruction in fire services theory and practical skills (core skills). In the event volunteer firefighters are not reasonably available or qualified, or cannot reasonably become qualified through a train the trainer program, training may be provided by a person outside the bargaining unit.
19.03 The City shall require that certain training and certifications be achieved and maintained. Such requirements shall be determined by the City, and discussion of training will become a standing agenda item at Labour/Management Committee meetings.
19.04 Volunteer firefighters who attend other courses that are relevant to their employment as a volunteer firefighter and to which they are assigned to take by the City, will be paid their regular training rate of pay. This payment shall only be made if the volunteer firefighter successfully completes the course.
19.05 Out of pocket expenses paid to members of the bargaining unit attending courses which occur outside the municipal boundary of the City of Xxxxxxxx, on direction of the City, shall be at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) per day to a maximum of thirty dollars ($30.00) per week. In addition, mileage shall be paid in accordance with City of Xxxxxxxx Corporate Policy in effect at the time of the required travel, to attend any courses that occur outside the municipal boundary of the City of Xxxxxxxx.
19.06 A volunteer firefighter may request written confirmation of successful completion of any course or required training for which the City maintains record, which the City shall provide.
19.07 In order to provide the volunteer firefighters greater opportunity for training and education, the City will contribute to the CLAC Education and Assistance, twenty cents (20¢) per hour for all hours paid in respect of training and maintenance. Training/Education. PFPC shall assist in the development of standard training materials for the Funds’ mutual fund service, support and operations personnel. In addition, PFPC shall provide, free of charge, attendance at one of PFPC’s annual forum events each year for not more than five (5) people chosen by the Funds, which may include GEAM salespersons and client services personnel. The Funds will be responsible for all expenses associated with travel to and from any such event, and reasonable fees for any special GEAM presentations or materials to be presented at such event.
Training/Education. Section 1. The Employer will pay incurred tuition/registration and allowable travel, per diem and salary when the Employer directs employees to attend training. Employees may request agency-sponsored training and will be considered based on job and workload needs and on funding. Available training and educational opportunities will be posted on employee bulletin boards and maintained current.
Section 2. The Employer may provide developmental assignments and job rotation assignments after providing written notice to the Association. Employees volunteering for these assignments retain their permanent position classifications, remain on Agency payroll, and retain the representation status of their permanent positions on completion of the assignment. Employees' participation in developmental and job rotation assignments will continue to receive compensation at the rate of their permanent position and shall continue to accrue rights and benefits related to their permanent position.
Section 3. Employees may be granted time off with pay to take job-related educational courses or training sessions.
Section 4. Employer recognizes the importance of providing training for security officers to be DPSST certified. It is the intent of the Employer, within funding and staffing resources, to provide a minimum of forty (40) hours of DPSST certifiable Training for all eligible unit members annually, paid time intermediate Certification DPSST training for at least fifty percent (50%) of eligible unit members annually, and paid time Advanced Certification DPSST training for at least fifty (50%) of eligible unit members annually.
Section 5. For employees, whose duties as a condition of employment require a CDL, the Employer agrees to pay the initial cost for the CDL and the cost of the required physical for license renewal.
Section 6. For employees, whose duties as a condition of employment, require a trades license or applicable certificate such as for plumbing or electrical work, the Employer agrees to pay for the maintenance of the license.

Training/Education. Orientation and ongoing employee training on how to carry out their responsibilities safely; manager training on safety concepts, understanding of worker’s rights, and responding to work reports or concerns; general training to understand the prevention measures.
Training/Education. 1. The Contractor agrees to provide ongoing education and training, at least annually, for all employees and subcontractors who handle personal, sensitive or confidential information. The Contractor’s employees and subcontractors will complete the Security Awareness Training module located on the Department’s website, xxx.xxxxx.xx.xxx within 30 days of the start date of this Agreement or within 30 days of the start date of any new employee or subcontractor. The Contractor must maintain certificates of completion on file and provide them to CDA upon request. Training may be provided on an individual basis or in groups. A sign-in sheet is acceptable documentation for group training in lieu of individual certificates. If internet access is not available, a hardcopy of the training module may be provided to employees and/or volunteers for their completion.
2. The Contractor may substitute CDA’s Security Awareness Training program with its own Security Training provided such training meets or exceeds CDA’s training requirement. The Contractor shall maintain documentation of training and education provided to their staff and/or subcontractors.
3. All employees, volunteers and subcontractors//vendors who handle personal, sensitive or confidential information relating to CDA’s programs must participate in Security Awareness Training.
