Inservice Leave. 6.5.1 A Member shall be entitled to a maximum of five (5) days of non-accumulative paid leave during each two (2) years of service with the District for the purpose of improving their job performance. Such leave may be used to attend conferences, workshops, or other activities that relate to their job performance. The use of such leave must be approved by the immediate administrator and authorized by the Superintendent/Designee.

Inservice Leave. An employee may be granted, upon request, paid leave each school year for the purpose of improving his/her performance. Such leave may be used to visit classes in other schools or to attend workshops, classes or seminars related to professional growth.
Inservice Leave. The District shall provide as it deems necessary, in-service training and workshops to all employees. Such training shall be considered part of the employees’ workday. The employer will notify employees of relevant workshop and in-service opportunities and they will be eligible to attend. For in-service opportunities outside of the District, the employer shall pay employees mileage for travel to and from the worksite and the in-service site at the federal mileage reimbursement rate.

  • Long Service Leave All employees shall be entitled to long service leave in accordance with the relevant State Legislation. The employer will ensure that any registration necessary for the purposes of portable long service schemes will be undertaken.
