When employees are employed under a part-time contract, the administration shall make a reasonable attempt to schedule non-contract time at the beginning or end of the day or week. Those employees considered part-time under this contract will be present for Parent-Teacher Conferences and Professional Development (unless otherwise stated in contract) and shall be paid on a per diem basis. Principals may require faculty and other meetings during the contract day. Faculty meetings beyond the contract day may be scheduled by the principals in special or unusual circumstances. Buildings that require additional meeting flexibility beyond the contract day should exercise the Flexibility Clause in the Negotiated Agreement (Article I, Section C, item 6).
