Mandatory Safety Training. 26.3.1 Schedule of Training/Flex Credit. Mandatory training shall be scheduled during flex days, as set forth in Article 12, or completed outside of flex days counting toward the unit members flex obligation for the year.
Mandatory Safety Training. Mandatory safety training shall be required where hazardous materials, chemicals or dangerous equipment are routinely used and which are subject to state and federal regulations mandating safety training for instructors and students. Affected unit members shall be required to attend these training programs and failure to attend shall subject the unit member to discipline.
Mandatory Safety Training. Members of the AATA shall undergo mandatory online safety training on matters/topics determined by the Board to be necessary, relevant and pertinent (e.g. Active Shooter, Automated External Defibrillators [AED], Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Prevention, Fire Extinguisher Safety, Homeless Students, Staff Ethics, Anti-Fraud, COVID-19, etc.) which may total approximately six (6) hours, more or less. The training shall be completed by all members of the AATA no later than October 15th of each year. In consideration for undergoing the aforementioned safety training, all members of the AATA successfully completing the mandatory training will be paid a one-time stipend of One Hundred Twenty Dollars ($120.00) upon completion of the online safety training. The stipend will be paid upon verification by the Board of the completion of training by each AATA member and will be paid the first payroll dated in November.
