Normal Tour a. Except for Operating employees, a tour for full-time em- ployees shall be considered as consisting of two (2) ses- sions, each of which shall not be less than three (3) hours, nor more than five (5) hours in length, exclusive of overtime periods. When the nature of the employee’s assignment requires constant attention at the post of duty, the tour is assumed to be divided into two (2) sessions. b. For Operating employees, eight (8) hours of time on duty shall constitute the normal full-time tour of work except tours shall be shortened as follows: Note 1: The normal full-time tour for Operators, Cen- tral Office Clerks, and Service Assistants who are un- der the supervision of the Manager-Operator Services shall be seven and one-half (71/2) hours of time on duty, which shall be compensated for on the basis of eight (8) hours’ pay. Note 2: The full-time tour ending in the evening shall be shortened as follows: For Operating employees, the normal full-time tour for tours ending after 7 p.m. but not after 10 p.m. shall be seven (7) hours in length, and for tours ending af- ter 10 p.m. shall be six (6) hours in length, which shall be compensated for on the basis of eight (8) hours’ pay. c. A work day shall be the day on which a tour or session shall start. All time scheduled, assigned, or worked dur- ing or contiguous to a tour shall be considered as falling on the day the tour started. Section 3.

Normal Tour. Employees who wish to make requests for specific time off shall place them in the request book on each unit at least two (2) weeks before the required posting date of the schedule for the schedule period in which the requested time off occurs. Subject to the approval by the Program or in her absence her Supervisor, there may be less than forty-eight (48) hours notice given by Employees who wish to exchange tours and telephone consents may be permitted. Employees working the exchange shall submit the mutual shift change form to the Program within seventy-two (72) hours of the completion of the affected shift. Denial of will be written into the mutual request book on each unit and an attempt will be made to reach the Employee by phone. There will not be less than a period of sixteen (16) consecutive hours off between shifts worked by an Employee without the consent of such Employee. Premium pay will be paid for all hours worked that are less than sixteen (16) hours off between shifts unless mutually agreed to by the Employee. There shall not be less than forty-eight (48) hours scheduled off after the completion of a tour of night duty and the commencement of a change in shift, without the consent of the Employee. Normal Tour. For nurses working the normal daily tour, a tour that begins or ends during the twenty-four (24) hour period of the above holidays where the majority of hours worked falls within the holiday shall be deemed to be work performed on the holiday for the full period of the tour. Likewise, a tour that begins or ends during the twenty-four (24) hour period of the above holidays where the minority of hours worked falls within the holiday shall be deemed to be work performed on a regular tour for the full period of the tour and no premium shall be paid for any hours worked on such tour. Nurses working extended tours shall be paid premium pay for all hours worked during the twenty-four (24) hour period of the recognized paid holiday.
