Notification of Absence from Work. An employee, when absent, shall be required to notify the Human Resources Department or Guard as soon as possible before the start of his/her first shift on the first day of absence. Wherever possible, a minimum of one (1) hour's notice will be given for the day shift and two (2) hour's notice for the afternoon and midnight shifts. Failing such notification, the absence may be considered unjustified. An employee when absent shall also be required to give prior notification as soon as possible of his/her date of return to work from such absence.
