Notification of Absence from Work. Nurses working the first (day) shift shall notify the employer at least two (2) hours in advance of the nurse’s scheduled shift if the nurse is unable to report for duty as scheduled. Nurses working the second (evening) and third (night) shift shall notify the Employer at least three (3) hours in advance of the nurse’s scheduled shift if the nurse is unable to report for duty as scheduled. The nurse must notify the Employer each day of absence if the nurse is unable to work unless prior arrangements have been made with supervision.

An employee, when absent, shall be required to notify the Human Resources Department or Guard as soon as possible before the start of his/her first shift on the first day of absence. Wherever possible, a minimum of one (1) hour's notice will be given for the day shift and two (2) hour's notice for the afternoon and midnight shifts. An employee when absent shall also be required to give prior notification as soon as possible of his/her date of return to work from such absence.

In the notification, the employee shall advise the supervisor of the type of leave classification.
Notification of Absence from Work. 30 Nurses who are unable to report to work as scheduled due to illness or any other 31 reason shall notify the Staffing Coordinator or designee at least two (2) hours 1 prior to the nurse’s schedule shift.

Notification of Absence from Work. 13.01 An employee assigned to a 5-day schedule when absent shall be required to notify the Plant Guard, the Human Resources Department, or his Supervisor, as soon as possible before the starting time of his first day of absence. A minimum of one (1) hour's notice must be given, unless extenuating circumstances prevent an employee from complying with this provision.
13.02 Employees assigned on rotating shifts (seven days a week), when absent shall be required to notify the Plant Guard, his Supervisor or the Human Resources Department as soon as possible before the starting time of his first day of absence. A minimum of four (4) hours notice must be given, unless extenuating circumstances prevent an employee from complying with this provision.
13.03 In both cases failing such notification, the absence may be considered unjustified.
13.04 Should the notification of absence from work not be respected by the absent employee, there will be no penalty to the company if an error occurs in the process of replacing the absent employee.
13.05 An employee when absent shall also be required to give prior notification of his date of return to work from such absence.

No document critical 30 of an employee's performance will be placed in the personnel file for use in 31 disciplinary action unless the employee is made aware of the existence of the 32 document and is given an opportunity to review it.
