Leading Hand. (i) Employees nominated as Leading Hands will, in addition to their current Electrical Worker wage rate be paid the all purpose hourly rate contained in the table below. $3.14 $3.17 $3.27 $3.36 $3.47
(ii) At specific times and for designated periods only, Employees will be nominated to act in the capacity of Leading Hand to assist Team Leaders and Supervisors in organising work and leading small work crews. The commencement and cessation of such nomination will be advised in writing to the Employee concerned.
Leading Hand. A leading hand is a employee who is given by the company, or the company's agent, the responsibility of directing and/or supervising the work of one or more other persons. Leading Hand. Where the Employer at its sole discretion appoints an Employee as a leading hand, such an Employee shall be paid an allowance of $30.00 per week above the minimum rate of pay for the appropriate classification as set out in subclause 32.1 of this clause, excluding Grounds Supervisor, Transformer Leading Hand and Garden Supervisor.
Leading Hand. An employee who is in charge of a crew and continues to be a working member of the crew.
Leading Hand. In addition to the wages prescribed by this Award, Leading Hands shall be paid $29.80 per week where these employees are employed for not less than 36.25 hours per week inclusive of statutory holidays and $5.90 per day when required to work less than 36.25 hours. This additional payment shall be regarded as part of the wage of the employee concerned and shall be taken into consideration in the computation of overtime, payment for annual leave, sick leave, statutory holidays, weekend work etc.
Leading Hand. Reports to: Operations Manager
Leading Hand. An employee who is appointed as a Leading Hand is responsible for the routine operation of a warehouse / cold store or a large section of a warehouse/cold store who:
(a) Shall possess a highly developed level of interpersonal and communication skills;
(b) Shall supervise and provide job direction and guidance to other employees, assistance in induction and "on the job" training, and attend to matters of safety and occupational health as well as the disciplining and counselling of employees under their charge;
(c) May be in charge of any number of employees as designated by the employer;
(d) Shall implement quality control techniques and procedures;
(e) Shall have appropriate advanced computer skills;
(f) Shall be competent to perform the following skills:
(i) Liaising with management, suppliers and customers with respect to store operations;
(ii) Maintain control registers including inventory control and be responsible for the preparation and reconciliation of regular reports of stock movements, dispatches etc.
(g) Shall exercise discretion within the scope of this grade;
(h) Leading Hands shall be capable of and may perform any duties of a Multiskilled Operator or a General Hand / Order Picker.
Leading Hand. An employee appointed by the Employer to act as a leading hand will be paid an allowance as set out in Appendix A in addition to the highest rate prescribed for employees under his or her control provided that an employee will only be entitled to the above prescribed allowance where the employee’s skill level grading classification descriptor does not include those core skills which reflect the duties of a leading hand as appointed. There will be no double counting.
Leading Hand. The Leading Hand will be paid an allowance of $76.88 per week above the Storeperson/Storeperson (preserved) wage rates. The Leading Hand will remain $76.88 ahead of the Storeperson/Storeperson (preserved) wage rates in line with ATTACHMENT 1 - RATES OF PAY. In addition to their normal duties, outlined in the classification of Storeperson, a Leading Hand will have in-depth knowledge of processes of the base functions of the warehouse and guides their team in relation to: • Despatch; • Inwards; • Stock control; • Quality control systems operation; • Use of pick to light, pick to voice, blackbay and RF Scanning devices; • Scanning of freight of "subcontractors" engaged each day, where applicable; • Good Manufacturing Practice and Quality; • Responsible for warehouse housekeeping of work area; • Use of non-licensed and licensed material handling equipment; • Computer operation; • Administration duties; • The day to day direction and productivity of store people, and production people under his/her control; • Liaison with customers, Suppliers and Clients; • Principles and responsibilities for WHSE; • Other duties as required. The Leading Hand reports to a Team Leader, Supervisor, Co-ordinator, or Manager.
Leading Hand. An employee appointed by the Company to be a Leading Hand shall be paid a flat allowance of $50 per week or pro rata at the rate of $10.00 per day for each day an employee acts as a leading hand.
