Employees required to work on public holidays- (a) An employee required to work on a public holiday shall be paid at time two (T2) the ordinary hourly rate for all hours worked. No other overtime or penal rates shall apply. An alternative holiday (in accordance with the Holidays Act 2003) shall be provided at a later date. An employee required to be on call on a public holiday (or day it is observed) shall be entitled to an alternative holiday.
