Outside Overtime. 1. Outside overtime jobs relating to City projects, or school events, including but not limited to athletic events, school dances, and City construction projects, shall be assigned from the outside overtime list. In the event nobody from the list is available, volunteers may be sought from off the list or assigned to a qualified retired officer as per Article 34. If no volunteers are available, the job will be filled by forcing from the outside overtime list. If the outside overtime list has been exhausted, (e.g. all officers are already working,) then the job may be forced from the in-house overtime list. In the event an officer is forced from the in-house overtime list, then that officer will receive credit for the force on his/her shift’s force list. (May 24, 1999 side letter)

Outside Overtime. Any employee who performs duties or services on behalf of an outside organization, company or individual for the City of San Xxxxxx. Such outside overtime shall be requested and scheduled directly through the employee’s department so that the City may be reimbursed for the cost of wages and benefits (see section on Procedure, item H for more details).

Outside Overtime. All requests for services of a police officer while off duty that may be addressed to the Borough shall be forwarded to the Police Department for posting. The Borough agrees to require a police officer on all contracting jobs done within the Borough where a road opening or street obstruction is involved. Any time there is a road opening or significant street repair as determined by the Chief of Police or his designee, the Borough agrees to require as a condition of the letting of the job that the contractor agree to provide at least one (1) police officer to provide public safety and security at the location of the work site. The Borough further agrees that all monies received from such contracting work shall be paid through the Borough’s payroll process and the law enforcement officer while so employed shall be treated in all respects as an employee of the public Borough. The Borough, in order to cover its share of increased payroll taxes and any other costs related to this article, shall receive a portion of the amounts paid for such contracting work. The portion of the proceeds which will be retained by the Borough shall be determined by an analysis prepared by the Municipal Clerk and/or the Municipal Auditor.
Outside Overtime. Outside overtime is not necessarily worked by custodians in that building and is subject to the rotating list.

Related to Outside Overtime

  • Overtime Overtime will begin to accrue after sixty (60) hours in a two (2) week period averaged over the scheduling period determined by the local parties. Overtime will apply if the employee works in excess of the normal daily hours. Payment for overtime is as in Article 16.01.

  • Planned Overtime In making planned overtime assignments the Employer shall first assign overtime on an equal opportunity basis according to each section’s procedure (Schedule E), as agreed to by the parties. Such overtime shall be assigned to employees who are actively on the payroll and who have indicated their willingness to accept overtime assignments according to section procedures and who are:

  • WORK WEEK AND OVERTIME Section 1. The normal work week will consist of forty (40) hours. Department management will establish the work week and hours of work best suited to meet the needs of the Department and provide superior service to the community. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as a guarantee or limitation of the number of hours to be worked per week.

  • Overtime Work A. Overtime pay is to be paid at the rate of one and one- half (1½) times the basic hourly straight-time rate.

  • Daily Overtime All employees shall be paid the applicable overtime rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours per day.

  • Overtime Pay a) A casual employee shall be entitled to overtime pay in accordance with Article 27.05 in the following circumstances:

  • Payment of Overtime 5.5.1 Subject to the provisions of this sub-clause, all work performed outside of the ordinary hours of any day, Monday to Friday, inclusive, will be paid for at the rate of time and one half for the first 2 hours and double time thereafter. Casual Employees will be entitled to the appropriate all- purpose penalty rates and their 25% casual loading as identified in clause 2.1.2.

  • Mandatory Overtime Mandatory overtime shall be scheduled 2 weeks in advance of the scheduled event (or as soon as possible after the overtime is known to management.) If there are unforeseen circumstances, the two week requirement will not apply. Where the notice of mandatory overtime is not provided in that time frame, the hours worked will be paid at twice the regular rate. If a member has checked with the Director of Public Safety or designee about a certain date as being a mandatory day, and received a negative answer, that employee shall be waived from any mandatory obligation of the day inquired about. If a staff member has extenuating circumstances occurring on a mandatory overtime day, they may request a release from the mandatory overtime day from the Director of Public Safety, or designee. The employee shall meet with the Director of Public Safety, or designee, to discuss the extenuating circumstance. The Director of Public Safety, or designee, shall respond to the staff member’s request as soon as possible.
