Overtime List. There shall be a list of employees who have volunteered to work overtime that is maintained by the head of each department or his or her designee for purposes of overtime recordkeeping (the “Overtime List”). Every semester, the College shall give the union a list of every department and name and contact information for the head of every department. The Overtime List shall include the name, classification, job title, seniority date and overtime opportunity hours (as described in section C below) for each nonexempt employee in the department or other relevant unit. The list shall also include a notice that employees have the choice of selecting their overtime compensation in the form of cash or compensatory time off. Employees shall initial the list indicating that they are aware of those options. The names on the list shall be listed by classification, and then within classification, by total state seniority. If there is a tie in total State service, then the person will the highest last four digits of their social security number shall considered to have more seniority (in relation to the tie) for the purpose of overtime equalization. Employee may opt in and off the voluntary overtime list with 14 days advanced notice. The Overtime List shall be established within 30 days after the ratification of this contract and shall be revised each fiscal year by both the Employer and the Union. This List shall be permanently posted in a visible area frequented by bargaining unit members. A union xxxxxxx or representative may view or copy it. Employees will not be subject to reprisal or disciplinary action for refusal of voluntary overtime.
Overtime List. For non-emergency situations, overtime shall be assigned on a rotating basis from an existing list containing the names of all employees who have volunteered for overtime work. The list shall be established within thirty (30) days after the ratification of this contract and shall be revised every six
Overtime List. One (1) overtime list shall be established by the Chief. The overtime list shall be compiled by merging and averaging the former day shift list and night shift list. The purpose of this list is to disperse overtime equally to all Firefighters. The list shall be accessible at all times utilizing the VCS scheduling system. If the need arises to call in the Firefighter for overtime work, the following procedure shall be followed:
Overtime List. (a) An Overtime List will be prepared at a minimum of every six (6) months by canvassing all employees in the department.
Overtime List. A. Whenever practical, overtime shall be assigned on a rotating basis by seniority from an existing list containing the names of qualified full-time employees in the department who have volunteered to be placed on the overtime list and normally perform the work being assigned for overtime. Initial distribution of overtime shall be on the basis of departmental seniority with the first opportunity being offered to the bargaining unit member with the highest seniority. Thereafter, it shall be administered on a rotating basis as provided in Section 8.9. The list shall be established within 60 days after the ratification of this contract and shall be revised as necessary. The list shall be available to the Union upon request.
Overtime List. Overtime shall be assigned on a rotating basis from an existing list containing the names of all employees who have volunteered for overtime work. Overtime shall be on the basis of seniority within the class, with the first opportunity being offered to the bargaining unit member with the highest seniority in the class. It shall be administered on a rotating basis depending on employee acceptance or rejection of overtime work.
Overtime List. There shall be established a rotating overtime callback list amongst the bargaining unit members which shall be used by the Employer to fill overtime vacancies when they occur. The list shall be administered by the Employer and shall be readily available for inspection by any bargaining unit member, at any time. The list shall consist of those employees who elect to participate, in descending order of bargaining unit seniority. When an overtime vacancy occurs for either a sergeant or lieutenant, the Employer shall call the first name on the sergeant/lieutenant’s list. Should the employee accept the assignment, his name shall then go to the bottom of the list. Should the Employer not be able to contact an employee, or if a telephone answering machine is reached, or an employee rejects the overtime opportunity, his name shall remain in the same position on the list. The list shall be followed in descending order until all overtime vacancies have been filled. Should the entire list be used and there are still vacancies available, the Employer then may offer the overtime to employees outside the bargaining unit. In case of a bona fide emergency, the provisions of this Article may be waived. Employees may waive overtime by filing a voluntary overtime waiver (See Appendix C). Withdrawal of Overtime waiver may be filed at any time. (See Appendix D). In the case of overtime assignments of three (3) hour duration or less, there shall be a separate overtime list that shall be administered in the same manner as detailed above.
Overtime List a. A consolidated overtime list made up of individual building overtime lists will be used for the purpose of performing work in buildings for the following:
Overtime List. 32.01 a) An overtime list shall be created in order to provide a fair distribution of available overtime to the members.
Overtime List. The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to distribute overtime equally among employees in their respective classifications within the Street Department. An overtime list will be posted every two weeks. Overtime refused will be counted as overtime taken for the purpose of accounting for the distribution of overtime. Should the overtime be refused by all employees within the Street Department, the City reserves the right to require overtime as necessary, starting at the top of the list. Offers of overtime will be made on a rotating basis beginning with the first name on the overtime list (at the top of the overtime list). If, when attempting to contact employees to work overtime, an employee is not available, (no contact is made) the City is not required to make subsequent contact to the same employee to fill the same overtime assignment. Once all employees have been offered overtime, the process shall repeat itself. Hires, rehires, reinstates, and transfers, (permanent or temporary) shall be charged hours equal to the highest employee in the department for the purpose of accounting for the distribution of overtime. Street Department Employees requested to work overtime in another department will also be contacted using said overtime list. If employee is not available, and the overtime worked by another Street Department employee down the list, the employee(s) shall be charged the overtime not worked on the Street Department overtime list for the purpose of accounting for the distribution of overtime. Overtime records will revert to zero hours for each employee on October 1st of each year and the list shall start new with the highest seniority at the top to the least seniority at the bottom. Overtime shall not be charged to the employee who was on approved vacation, personal leave or sick time during the overtime hours offered (vacations on Monday or Friday will be considered vacation for the weekend). Employees may still be contacted to work overtime while on approved leave, but no overtime shall be charged to said employee for the purpose of accounting for the distribution of overtime. If employee is not available or the employee does not answer a callout attempt to both the primary and secondary contact numbers, this will be considered a refusal of overtime and the employee shall be charged the overtime not worked on the Street Department overtime list for the purpose of accounting for the distribution of overtime.
