The Overtime Application clause defines the rules and procedures for how overtime work is requested, approved, and compensated within an organization. Overtime Application. It is understood that no time shall be subject to the application of more than one (1) overtime provision.

(a) When a charter or escorted tour exceeds eight (8) hours all waiting time after the eight (8) hours and up to the finish time in any day will be at the applicable base rate of pay.
(b) Waiting time is defined as any break of thirty (30) minutes duration or longer.
(c) Driving time is defined as any break of less than thirty (30) minutes including all service time when required to remain with or performing any servicing of the coach and all time spent on ferries, except when over-nighting on a ferry is required.
(d) ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and escorted tours of seven (7) days' duration or longer will be discussed between the Union and the Company. Specific terms and conditions pertaining to charters and escorted tours shall be agreed upon to accommodate particular situations.
(e) A driver working on a charter that takes him/her through his/her regular day(s) off may upon completion take the following day(s) off. (See Letter of Agreement #3).
Overtime Application. All approved overtime shall be compensated pursuant to the Employment Standards Act.
Overtime Application. (a) An employee will not be regularly scheduled to work in excess of Eight (8) hours in any one day or Forty 40) hours in any one week except in cases beyond the control of the Company or because of breakdown or emergency.
(b) An employee on the regular Monday-Friday working schedule who is required to work on Saturday or Sunday on an overtime basis shall be so notified, where possible, on the previous Thursday prior to his normal quitting time.
(c) If the supervision determines that overtime will be for one hour or less, an employee will be expected to work right through without a break.
(d) When it is estimated that the overtime will involve Two (2) hours or more beyond the end of the regular shift, an employee at their request will be provided a one-half hour unpaid lunch. Time cards must be punched out and in for this period whether or not an employee leaves the plant.
(e) In cases of major breakdowns or other emergency situations, it may not always be possible to allow an employee a supper period at a specified time. Supervision will be governed by the circumstances and arrange a supper period, when necessary and if possible, as close to regular eating time as feasible.

An employee on the regular Monday - Thursday working schedule who is requested to work on Friday, Saturday or Sunday on an overtime basis shall be so notified, where possible, on the previous Wednesday prior to his normal quitting time. A worker will be given a Ten (10) minute break after Ten (10) hours, if any Overtime worked in a regularly scheduled shift. In cases of major breakdowns or other emergency situations, it may not always be possible to allow an employee a supper period at a specified time. Supervision will be governed by the circumstances and arrange a supper period, when necessary and if possible, as close to regular eating time as feasible.
Overtime Application. Except as provided under paragraph 5 of Clause 6.14., this section does not apply to duty under a restriction direction.
