Part-Time Professional Employees a. Through August 24, 2005 any professional employee hired for a position of 50% or more shall be eligible for the Inter-Lakes School District Health Plan. Part-time professional employees* who teach less than 50 percent will be eligible for benefits paid by the District at that same percentage as their employment. *(Footnote on page 7 applies.) b. Beginning on August 24, 2005, any professional employee who is hired by the District prior to July 1, 2005 shall be grandfathered to be eligible for the benefits described in paragraph a. above. Beginning August 25, 2005, any professional employee who is hired by the District on or after July 1, 2005 who teaches less than 100%-time will be eligible for benefits paid by the District at the same percentage as their employment. Eligibility for all job and fringe benefits for part-time professional employees will be determined by averaging teaching time over the school year.

Part-Time Professional Employees. Two professional employees shall be allowed to share one position when their schedule and duties can be arranged between themselves with the advice and approval of the building principal. When a professional employee is hired part-time, the benefits package shall be prorated to reflect the percentage of the contract day worked. Personnel hired before June 1, 1998 and hold a part-time position shall not be affected by this agreement.
Part-Time Professional Employees. 1. Returning Professional Employees with an FTE (full-time equivalency) less than 1.0 will work a proportional amount of their FTE on professional learning and conference days. 2. Professional Employees with an FTE less than 1.0 who are new to the District will be required to attend the entire new educator onboarding pre-service schedule for no additional pay. Work on professional learning and conference days other than onboarding will be based on the Professional Employee’s FTE. 3. If a part-time Professional Employee is required by administration to be in attendance for longer than the employee’s FTE, the overage time will be paid at the employee’s per diem rate of pay. Professional Employees may work longer at their discretion, but those hours are not eligible for overage pay unless required by administration. 4. Administration may require the part-time employee’s attendance for the full amount of time for limited traditional and customary professional responsibilities for the building for the entire duration of the activity with no additional pay, with the exception of conferences. This includes, but is not limited to, graduation, Back-to-School Night, and Meet-the- Teacher Night.

  • Part-Time Employees Employees who are scheduled to work less than forty (40) hours per workweek.

  • Provisional Employees 343. Non-permanent employees, defined as employees with no permanent classification or employees with a permanent classification serving in another classification, shall be entitled to the following: 344. 1. Non-permanent employees shall be treated as permanent employees with respect to health and welfare benefits, compensation and salary steps, seniority, retirement (upon completion of 1040 hours in any twelve month period), and leave benefits, including but not limited to sick leave, vacation and personal leave.

  • Casual Employees A casual employee is one who is not regularly scheduled to work other than during periods that such employee shall relieve a regular full-time or regular part-time employee. Casual employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to such benefits as are contained in the “Addendum - Casual Employees”.

  • Permanent Part-Time Employees (1) Pay and benefits will be computed on a prorated monthly or pay period basis, such as one-half (½) monthly or pay period pay for a half-time employee, or pay will be computed on an hourly basis, and pay and benefits will be normally prorated on a pay period, pay status basis. Permanent part-time employees in permanent full-time positions will be treated as permanent part-time for purposes of this Article. (2) Employees paid on a fixed partial monthly basis shall have all extra hours worked over the regular part-time schedule paid at the hourly rate. Employees paid on a fixed partial monthly basis who work less than the regular part-time schedule shall have time deducted at the hourly rate.

  • Seasonal Employees Seasonal employees still on trial service should refer to Article 71, Sections 2 and 3 regarding salary increases.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees ‌ (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee. (b) A part-time employee working less than the normal days per week of a full-time employee, and who is required to work other than their regularly scheduled workdays, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the days so worked up to and including the normal workdays in the workweek of a full-time employee. (c) Overtime rates shall apply to hours worked in excess of (a) and (b) above.

  • Part-Time Employee Part-time employee" means an employee who is normally scheduled to work fewer than 80 hours in a biweekly payroll period.

  • Newly Hired Employees All employees hired to an insurance eligible position must make their benefit elections by their initial effective date of coverage as defined in this Article, Section 5C. Insurance eligible employees will automatically be enrolled in basic life coverage. If employees eligible for a full Employer Contribution do not choose a health plan administrator and a primary care clinic by their initial effective date, and do not waive medical coverage, they will be enrolled in a Benefit Level Two clinic (or Level One, if available) that meets established access standards in the health plan with the largest number of Benefit Level One and Two clinics in the county of the employee’s residence at the beginning of the insurance year. If an employee does not choose a health plan administrator and primary care clinic by their initial effective date, but was previously covered as a dependent immediately prior to their initial effective date, they will be defaulted to the plan administrator and primary care clinic in which they were previously enrolled.

  • Part-Time Teachers A "part-time teacher" is one who is employed under written contract but who is assigned to duties on a regular basis that requires less than a full-time equivalent. A part-time teacher shall be paid a salary in accordance with the basic salary schedule, proportionate to the percentage of the full-time equivalent taught each day as outlined in the written contract.

  • PART-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS Regular part time employees shall be provided the opportunity to purchase benefits of one of the plans described in Article XVII, Sections B and C at the Employer plan’s premium cost. The Employer will pay the Employer’s monthly share of the premium cost at a ratio proportionate to the employee’s part time condition of employment contingent upon receipt of the employee’s yearly share of the employee’s premium.
