Pay Rate Upon Promotion. An employee who is promoted shall be paid at the step in the new pay range which represents at least a one step increase over the rate of pay received immediately prior to the promotion, provided that such increase does not exceed the maximum step of the new pay range.
Pay Rate Upon Promotion. A promotion is a change to a higher compensated classification (i.e from legal advocate or operation support to attorney). If, based upon experience in the prior category, an employee would otherwise receive a decrease in salary, their salary will nonetheless be maintained at that level until their experience corresponds to the step level of the new classification of equal or greater salary, at which time they would be eligible for anniversary increases.
Pay Rate Upon Promotion. A current regular employee who is promoted shall be paid at the step in the new range which represents at least a 5.12% step an increase over the rate of pay received immediately prior to the promotion or at the minimum step of the new range, whichever is greater, provided that such increase does not exceed the maximum step of the new range. If the promotion is a result of a competitive recruitment for a new or vacant position, the employee will receive a one-step increase, six (6) months after the effective date of beginning the new job assignment. If the promotion is not a competitive recruitment, the employee will receive a step increase twelve (12) months after the effective date of beginning the new job assignment. In either case, subsequent step increases shall be at twelve (12) month intervals until the top step is achieved. Step increases will be in increments of 2 steps if initial hire into County was prior to 7/15/14 or 1 step if initially hired after 7/15/14. Commencing January 1, 2019 step increases after the first step increase after hire will be in two step increments (5.12%) until the top step is achieved.
Pay Rate Upon Promotion. In any case where an employee is promoted or reclassified to a higher grade and job classification, the starting rate shall be a minimum of 5% over the salary received prior to the promotion in accordance with Pay Plan grades and steps, provided the Department Head/Director approves. Any personnel action (e.g., promotion, demotion, reclassification, reallocation, etc.) institutes a new probationary period.
Pay Rate Upon Promotion. Employees promoted to a higher paid classification shall be placed at the appropriate step in the new classification pay scale in accordance with Section 12.10 (Determination of Experience Level), which will provide a minimum increase of five percent (5%), not to exceed the top of the new scale.
Pay Rate Upon Promotion. For promotional appointments, the employee’s hourly rate for the position into which the employee is promoted will be at least 2.5% greater than the employee’s hourly rate at the formerly held position. If the employee was to receive a step increase within 90 days, that hourly rate will be considered into the hourly rate for the new position. Employing Officials have the authority to offer up to Step 6 of the applicable pay grade. Appointment at Step 7 or above on the pay grade must be approved in writing by the County Administrator.
Pay Rate Upon Promotion. 1. An employee promoted to a classification in a higher pay range shall receive a pay rate based on the employee’s applicable experience, as defined in B above.

An advance step placement may be requested by the department. If an advance step is requested, the process outlined in 14.5.2 will be followed. If the promotion is a result of a competitive recruitment for a new or vacant position, the employee will receive a step increase as outlined in Article 15.10.
Pay Rate Upon Promotion. An employee chosen to fill a vacancy in a higher rated classification 35 will be placed at the same corresponding step level in the higher rated classification as the 36 employee’s step in the classification from which he/she is promoted. An employee chosen to fill 37 a vacancy in an equal or lower rated classification will be placed in the same step as his/her current 38 classification.
Pay Rate Upon Promotion. An employee promoting into a higher paid classification covered by this Agreement will receive a 5% increase in pay effective on the date of promotion, provided that no employee will be paid an amount less than the minimum nor more than the maximum hourly rate of pay for the employee’s classification.
