Peer Observations. An SSP Employee will select, under the guidance of the evaluator, a peer to conduct a formal or informal observation of the SSP Employee. The SSP Employee being observedwill write a reflection based on the feedback provided by the peer observer. This written reflection will be made available to the evaluator by a mutually-agreed upon date.
Peer Observations. Teachers are expected to conduct one full-period observation and two fifteen-minute observations of their peers on a trimester basis. The full-period observation should be scheduled in advance with the teacher who is being observed, but the two fifteen-minute observations can be on a drop-in basis. These observations will be used for professional development purposes.

The peer observer will be identified by the supervising administrator after consultation with the academic employee and is not restricted to members of the academic employee’s department. If the need arises, peer observations may be assigned by the supervising administrator. During the triennial conference cycle of tenured faculty, the supervising administrator will visit a minimum of one class for the purpose of observation and evaluation using a mutually agreed upon observation tool. For tenured faculty teaching only online, the supervising administrator and the faculty member will agree to a mutual time for the one hour observation of the course. With advance notice, the supervising administrator may visit more than one class. Whenever possible, the purpose of the additional observation will be shared prior to the observation. Evaluative information gathered from the classroom observation will be shared with the tenured faculty prior to the day of their triennial conference. Information not shared prior, may be included in the triennial conference discussion with the mutual consent of both the tenured faculty and the supervising administrator.
Peer Observations. During the initial quarter of teaching, a Peer Observation will be conducted. Thereafter, a Peer Observation will be conducted at least once every three (3) years unless the appropriate Xxxx for Student Learning should deem additional Peer Observation(s) necessary based upon specific concerns related to the evaluation criteria. Faculty Peer Observations shall be conducted by a Full-Time Faculty member or Priority Hire Associate Faculty who shall be designated by the appropriate Xxxx. This faculty member should be in the same, or a closely related, discipline as the faculty member being evaluated. As part of their regular workload, Full-Time Faculty may be asked to perform up to three (3) Associate Faculty Peer Observations per year. As part of their regular workload, Priority Hire faculty may be asked to perform up to two (2) Associate Faculty Peer Observations per year. The designated observer will write up the findings of the Peer Observation with the faculty member being observed. The faculty member may respond in writing to the peer observation and have his/her response attached to the written peer observation. A written copy of the Peer Observation and any response shall be forwarded to the faculty member and the appropriate Xxxx for Student Learning.
Peer Observations. A minimum of two peer observations with feedback using the OTES Teacher Performance Evaluation Rubric. This is not a formal assessment and will not be a consideration for one’s employment status. Peer Observations. The sponsoring department will designate a full time faculty member of record whose name will be assigned to the course on the Master Schedule. This lead faculty members will be designated by using the FFECC contractual method of selecting overload. The lead faculty member will be responsible for all record keeping aspects of the course including such activities as orientation of the high school teacher, recording the attendance of students, review of all instructional materials, course outline and examinations, in cooperation with the high school teacher, assignment of final grades, sign-off of the final grade report and coordination with ECC administrative officers.
Peer Observations. In addition to classroom observations by one’s Immediate Supervisor, faculty members can elect to be observed by a peer through the Peer Observer Pool. These observations, while not compulsory, can be and are used as a component of continuing appointment and promotion decisions. Faculty who wish to volunteer in conducting classroom observations for the academic year, and in turn wish to be considered a member of the Peer Observer Pool, shall submit their intent to the Vice President of Academic Affairs no later than ten (10) working days after the commencement of the fall semester. Upon review of the candidates, the Vice President of Academic Affairs shall notify faculty of the members of the Peer Observer Pool no later than September 21.

In preparation for any formal evaluation conference scheduled as a result of Article 807, each academic employee shall prepare and submit a written self-assessment in a format mutually determined by the academic employee and the appropriate supervising administrator. Such assessment shall include complete student evaluation data and/or other client survey data and the academic employee’s conclusions regarding areas of strength and areas where improvement is desirable. The appropriate xxxx or supervising administrator will visit a minimum of one class for the purpose of observing and collecting data for each tenured academic employee once during the triennial conference cycle. The administrator may visit some or all of the academic employee’s classes for the purpose of observing and collecting data, provided that such visits are scheduled beforehand with the academic employee. If the xxxx or supervising administrator chooses to do more than one classroom observation, an effort will be made to communicate the purpose of the observation to the academic employee beforehand. Evaluative input collected under this article by either party may be used for formative purposes during the triennial conference, provided that the information collected by one party is shared with the other party for review before the day of the triennial conference. With the mutual consent of both the academic employee and the supervising administrator, information not shared in advance of the triennial conference may be included in the conference discussion.
Peer Observations. Peer observations shall be conducted by faculty familiar through training or experience with the assignment of the bargaining unit member undergoing evaluation. Training on the peer evaluation process and forms will be available for faculty.
