Personal Leave Conversion. To assist in off-setting the out-of-pocket cost of insurance, the District and Association have agreed to continue the personal leave conversion pilot program. Requests will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, up to a limit of one hundred (100) employees. Employees may elect to convert their annual allotment of personal leave days to be paid out over a ten (10) month period, beginning in November. Employees who wish to convert personal leave must fill out the District application and attend a mandatory meeting with the District and the Association. The deadline for applications is September 30.
Personal Leave Conversion. 1. At the end of the school year (September 1 through August 31) , the employee may present a signed form to the Treasurer requesting a cash benefit for unused personal leave days in accordance with the following terms:

Each unused personal leave day will be converted at the option of the bargaining unit member to either a sick leave day or cashed in for One Hundred Dollars ($150.00), to be paid prior to June 30. Bargaining unit members must inform the Treasurer’s office in writing by June 1 of which option they choose for unused personal leave days, otherwise any such unused personal leave days will be converted to sick leave.

By completing this form, you are indicating that you would like to convert three (3) unused personal days to one (1) additional personal day for the upcoming school year. If you do not have three (3) unused personal days, any days will be converted to sick leave at a ratio of 1:1. If you have four (4) unused personal days, three (3) may be converted to an additional personal day. The remaining day converts to a sick day.
